By the sounds of it both teams were 'meh' with up and down games and we lost in a shootout. Sound about right?

I'm honestly asking because I was at school the whole time and on the way back the radio crew was just blasting Anderson for the Timonen goal and even got a nice jab in at Bryzgalov. They're a very entertaining group our radio crew is.

We definitely need to trade every single forward and every single defender and a 2nd for Bobby Ryan because he's from Cherry Hill.

Meh. Lots of bad luck that game. The more I watch this season the more I wish the Flyers would just start obstructing the living hell out of everything and everyone, we are back in the dead puck era.

It was insane to begin with that our shutdown line was also far and away our best offensive line.

How would you know if Giroux could bury a scoring chance? Neither of his horrible linemates can give him a decent pass to save their lives.

This really is the worst case scenario. They are going to lose a lot of confidence this week right before going into some big division games. This season could be over before the new year.

Vinny being out has been huge. Coots and Mason cant carry this team and thats what the past two games have shown. G, Voracek, and Hartnell need to start producing 5 on 5 or this teams isnt going anywhere. The fact that they play like a bunch of sensitive preteen girls and go into funks so easily isnt going to help.

Curious, if the cap goes up, does that mean how much can be buried goes up? If so, how much could we bury Streit for?

How come Jake never gets to play in the fairy dance portion of the "competetion". Is he that terrible on breakaways?

The more important thing is the floor going up, which means fraud teams like the Isles and Panthers will look to add high cap/low dollar contracts.

Yeh... most teams in the NHL are doing it. They should just join them... the D actually suits that kind of hockey funnily enough.

San Jose, Anaheim, Chicago and the Canucks are seemingly the only bastions of hope left in the west, (and some of them revert to it some nights) and the east is going more that way each year.

I'm not sure if you're joking but a buy out of Streit is a legit possibility if continues to play like this, just not after one year. I guarantee his sticks around at least another year.

Send him the Panthers or Islanders. He doesn't have a NTC/NMC. The problem is, his salary goes up next season.

Nope, Emery. That was reported like last week though. It wasn't official obviously but it seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.

Emery probably goes against Chicago. The Blackhawks could have a goalie duo of Kent Simpson and Antti Raanta, who is playing tomorrow night in Dallas, for that game.

Columbus lost.

Carolina hopefully stay behind.

If that happens the night went fine tbh... though ofc the extra point would help more.

It that happens 2 points out of the playoffs with a game in hand.

It's amazing how bad the Metro division is.

I don't think they have been bad the last two games, they just haven't been nearly as dominate like before. Somebody else needs to step up & give them guys some support because they're not going to be lights out every game.

Simmonds stepped up tonight but for the most part his line as a whole was pretty average & the first line basically does nothing unless it's on the PP.

While I had the dog out I was actually thinking that Grossmann, Schenn and Coburn ought to be awesome at obstruction, as well as guys like Hartnell, Simmonds, and Downie.
