Anyone else think that Meszaros has actually been looking better recently? I thought last night was the best he's played in a long time.

I think Mez and Streit swapped brains or something...

Meszaros has looked decent since he replaced Gus. Streit has fallen off.

We can only hope that Streit is scratched for a bit for Gus.

I agree. Other from his first game back, he has done enough to warrant his stay as the sixth defenseman. If he plays like that, I don't see him getting scratched for Gus anytime soon.

Streit, on the other hand, had a terrible game against Ottawa. He was (at least partially, but that part was significant) responsible for the first three goals, and even after that he made a terrible move reminiscent to the one that led to one of the goals. In other games, I thought he looked alright, but maybe not what people expect him to be. He'll definitely stay my favourite Flyers defenseman for the foreseeable future, and I loved the signing when it was made. But I can admit that he's not worth as much as he's getting paid, and that he was a bit overrated (at least in terms of his performance in recent years) going into the contract anyway. He's still better than Gus, though.
