Phantoms beat the Comets 3-1 earlier today. Akeson had a goal and an assist. The other goal scorers were Newbury and Holmstrom. McGinn, Bordson, Manning and VandeVelde picked up an assist each.

Akeson now has 17pts in 23 games leading the phantoms yet again. Flyers should give superstar a call.

Rimousky in action against Rouyn-Noranda (1-1, 1st period).

Morin was suspended for 2 games lately and is not playing again.

What is it this time? Anyway, DO NOT LIKE.

For some odd reason I'm really looking forward to watching Vasilyev in the World Juniors.

Sounds like Laughton is playing dominant hockey right now.

Hard to say, since Talbot was an amazing Jr player too. Leier is faster and has really good hands. He could end up a 2nd liner in the NHL because his hockey IQ might translate better with better players.

2 more goals + 1A and +2 again today in a 5-2 win.

He was 1+2 on Friday: http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/s...how/game/66486

So far:

2013-14 Regular Season
28 GP 24G + 24A = 48 pts +7 29PIMs

Not bad.

How do you pronounce Leier? Is it like Leer? Or like Layer?

Yes, that's how he pronounced it himself, in the video at prospect camp.

Button's list is out for December. Some players that were discussed around here.

McKeown falls from 21 to 27
Kapanen falls from 8 to 14

One player I would keep my eye on is Haydn Fleury, who is playing some really good hockey from the reports I have read. He has a lot of potential and is extremely smart player. Also, some scouts don't believe Reinhart or Ekblad will go 1st overall, that someone else will rocket up to take that spot. Reinhart has a lot of holes in his game according to some reports I read, even if he is showing up on the score sheet.

I have seen Fleury a couple of times and I like the way he plays. And it seems like the Flyers will probably fall close to where he is selected. Maybe Homer will take a shot at Ekblad seeing that the draft is in Philly this year. And thanks to the emergence of Gostitsbehere I don't think it would be necessary to target a guy like DeAngelo.

Here's the list if someone wants to take a look at it

Craig's List

Jake Virtanen is #58. I have seen very little of him playing but I would love to take him in the second round. Has anyone watched him more closely?

Cousins now has gone 9 games straight without a point. Anyone with an opinion on him lately?

Haven't seen him, but his rankings are all over the place. HockeyProspect.com has him at 14, FC has him at 13, and I've seen others put him in the top 10. Doubt he'd be available late in the 2nd round, but I'd take him if he was.

Also I'd pass on DeAngelo in the first round, if he slipped to the 2nd that's a different story.

Sam Bennett is the one forward from this draft who really stands out. I doubt he'll be there when the Flyers pick. Fleury would also be a great choice if he's available. He's another one of those guys whose game continues to get better night after night and doesn't turn 18 until July, so you'd be able to take your time with him. I'd also have no problems with one of Brendan Perlini or Michael Dal Colle (we need some legitimate winger prospects - especially ones who can finish). I know some have said that the draft this year isn't a great one, but it's not bad either. There's some real good talent available.

What is Leier's ceiling as of now? I know people are impressed with him (being a 4th round pick) but I haven't gotten to watch him play.

I remember a few people saying he could possibly become a very similar player to Matt Read.

I to really like Sam but agree that he will be long gone by the time the Flyers pick. Can you give me any insight on Jake Virtanen? From the little I know about him he seems to fit what the Flyers lack on the wing.

Dal Collie is a beast. Goal tonight gives him 23 on the year.

Generals lead 2-1, Laughton has an assist.

His ceiling is probably a 2nd/3rd line tweener.

Didn't realize Hagg was playing with some former prospects on MODO, Mario Kempe and Joonas Lehitvuori. Let's hope he ends up better than them.

Laughton with 2 assists.

Stolarz with a win, he stopped 34 of 38.

Ghoul had a goal for Kelowna in a 4-2 win.

Is that a nickname for Goulbourne? If so we have Ghost and Ghoul.
