OT - Brisebois hits Ribeiro

Funny stuff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAHZEZI26PI

Few gems there :

-Breezy threw a hit
-Breezy on the ice on the PK
-Ribeiro being punished
-Ribeiro getting back up to work along the boards

Must have been siting pretty low if hitting on "such a useless player" gets him climbing up the holy ladder of your esteemed esteem.

I guess Ribs bashing never gets old here.
Useless player ?
The guy has 28 points...6 more than any other forward in his team.

Sorry, I read on this team. But 28 pts would put him 3rd in the Habs.

Very good production for someone who just played 12 minutes per game on a 4th line for 20-25 games .

for the hit , i don't see what is so funny .

I was talking among forwards. I think he'd be fifth total (Markov has 28 or 29?).

Hmm no... He played 80% of the season on the 4th line. I've watched a fair share of Dallas games this season and a good chunk of Ribs' icetime is on the PP...he used to rarely get a shift ES till Modano and others got injured.

As for the Creator of the thread.

1) The hit was borderline elbow and Ribeiro got right back up anyway.
2) That is pretty funny
3) Again....the hit was borderline and he got right back up, hardly punished.
4) If you haven't seen Ribeiro play all season, he's been looking grittier, faster and more level headed than in montreal. Not to mention he's improved greatly at backchecking.

His goal scoring seems to be in a downward spiral over the past 3 seasons: 20 to 16 to a projected 12.

If you considere that he starts the season with a new team , and the fact that his ice time has drop to 12 minutes on the 4 th line , for a big part of the season , you can say that he 's consistant if not better .

One thing is sure , you are more consistant than him ; you try to discredit Ribeiro every single day, with useless stats , comments or poor deductions . It's annoying at the end .

And by the way , i saw him in a bar this summer , and he was not taking coke as you said , but a Pepsi

what are u talking about ?
as Shabutie said, most of the season he played on so-called 3rd or 4th line (Tippett mostly runs 4 lines in Dallas, so it's not everytime that clear which one is what line...)

the last game for example he had Mathias Tjarnqvist (the 14th forward of the NHL team) and Chris Conner (call-up) on his wings...
