But seriously, I think some player on this team should be gone. Montreal needs a major shake-up.

Get rid of Bouillon for a 7th, send him to Hamilton, I don't care..
Move Desharnais for the love of all things good.
It's 3 hours of your life that you will never get back because they lost? So you're telling me if the HABS had won the game, you'd be able to get those 3 hours back?

I was there. And I was not happy. Stayed till the end, hoping for a 0-6 comeback..never happened.

However, Galchenyuk and Gallagher were put together in the 3rd and they should stay together. Nuff said. Disgusting game. Kings showed us how hockey was played tonight.

They need to form a shield in front of Price after he makes a save. I re-watched some of the goals because my TV is still on RDS and I'm too lazy to turn it off and on one of the goals you see Markov get pushed out of the blue paint by Clifford like he weighed 30 pounds. Unacceptable.

OK, OK, major blowup is too far, lol. We're 9-1-1 in our last 11. The main point of tonight was that we're still a bit away from being legit contenders.

Although, I wouldn't mind another 14-1-4 run like we had last year after the 6-0 loss to Toronto.

But don't trade away any young assets for a run, yet. We're not there at the moment. Price will bounce back, everyone will bounce back and we'll kill Philadelphia. Happy? We could have scored three goals alone in the 1st and really, I don't know what world the 3rd goal is a good goal in. I'm not sure about the 4th either, but no point in going nuts over it now.

Tonight's loss was unacceptable . A cup contendor hockey team should never loose by this much. I hope it lights a firearm under Bergevin's ass to get the shakeup we need.

I don't care that we lost, nobody should be willing to sweep a 6-0 debacle under the rug and move on. I do t want the old Habs back. Of I did I'd be calling for Koivu, Kovalev and Souray for Christ sake.

Last 6-0 loss led to a 14-1-4 run. Calm yourself. All teams have bad games. Detroit beat Boston 6-1 earlier in the season, Nashville beat Chicago 7-2 earlier in the season. Just chill out.

and to think...this team got beat by the hawks...we might be able to compete very well in the east...but the west is too strong for us right now. we have some ways to go before being contenders. were a good team...but not a great team..yet

Even kings fans say they don't play this well on a regular basis. We also definetly don't play this bad either so calm down we obviously aren't winning a cup it was just 2 years ago we finished 28th in the league...

For the 1 period the Kid line was reunited, they were great. You can see that Gallagher is just reeling on Desharnais' wing. Him, Eller and Galchenyuk have undeniable chemistry and I really think its a shame they can't stick together. Love what they have to offer together.

I'm also thinking the Briere signing was the biggest mistake this team could have made in the off-season. It's not that he's bad. I mean I wasn't expecting more production. He's met expectations. I just think he doesn't fit this team. We have way too many centres, and he isn't comfortable on the wing. He is similar in size to a lot of players, and plays more a playmaking/perimeter game which we have more than enough of. The coach rather play DD, Gally, Pleks, Gio over him. He doesn't answer any need. I'm really trying to see what was the point of getting him....

Not even mad. It's weird saying that after a blowout. It's probably because of our 9-0-1 record before this game.

Hopefully a losing streak isn't happening soon or ever.

Although MB still has to make some changes. Not panicking or anything but for the gazillionth time, we can't have too many small guys in our top 6.

If the team wants to contend, the team should be able to compete against the west teams.

Overreacting. You guys were like 9-0-1 prior to this game, IIRC. Blowouts happen.

We're just gonna have to wait a few years before we're legit contenders. Let the young guys develop, get rid of the useless guys (Bouillon), and get some big bodies in...hopefully that we draft and develop ourselves.

That statement is beyond ridiculous. Let's recap.

2013 Stanley Cup Champions - Chicago Blackhawks
March 8, 2013: Chicago loses 6-2 to Colorado (finish 29th in the league)

2012 Stanley Cup Champions - LA Kings
Dec 17, 2011: LA loses 8-2 to Detroit (finish 8th in league)

2011 Stanley Cup Champions - Boston Bruins
Feb 11, 2011: Boston loses 6-1 to Detroit (finish 6th in league)

2010 Stanley Cup Champions - Chicago Blackhawks
Jan 23, 2010: Chicago loses 5-1 to Vancouver (finish 5th in league)
Mar 25, 2010: Chicago loses 8-3 to Columbus (finish 27th in league)

**** happens. It's one loss. And it was against a team currently 4th in league standings. Stop overreacting.

This season, the Sharks have lost 5-1 to Pittsburgh and 5-1 to Chicago. Chicago has lost 7-2 to Nashville and 5-1 to Colorado. Anaheim has lost 6-1 to Colorado and 5-1 to Tampa. And Colorado lost 8-2 to the Oilers last week.

Clearly, a single blowout loss means that these teams can't be contenders.

Watching DD get wrecked by Kopitar was oddly satisfying. Plekanec's line seemed to be the only one that held its own....even though they didn't score. I feel bad for Price and Budaj.

It's a good thing we play in the East then right?..
If you make the POs, there's only 1 Western team you're gonna go up against. Let that team face tough opponents, they might come in completely gassed.
This East vs West crap means very little.
However, a bigger winger that crashes the net for the top 6-9 and an upgraded/bigger guy in our top 4D as well, have been our two big missing pieces since last year. This isn't news. People have been talking about it for a long time. Precisely why some said Briere made no sense at all, increasing an obvious weakness.
Which also gets you wondering why Murray was scratched for Bouillon in this game. We got Murray so he could play versus the bigger teams and we scratched him versus the biggest team in the NHL.

Sorry if already posted. But Coming into this game our record was 19-9-3 as in 1993.

Just saying.

Our top 6 looked smaller than usual last night. Definitely need to change the make-up of our top 6 because it's just gonna a repeat of the Sens series come playoff time.
