Nice. I've seen Luke Green a handful of times this year.

Scary how much upside that kid has. Really like his game.

Curious how he compares in your eyes to Campoli and Girard the two Quebec D you have ranked higher. ( I obviously haven't seen those two).

All three are very different players....

Campoli is very smart, uses his size, controls the game with the puck, he is physical, hits hard, he plays a little too safe I find, he has an offensive game as he has great vision and passing and a good shot but he needs to use his shot more....he is great defensively though as well....Campoli though is coming back from injury and all the skills are there, I would like to see more from him but since he is just coming back im keeping him high until the season is finished then i will reevaluate him.

Girard is super smart, very smooth, not physical and not a rushing dman but just great positional game, excellent passing on the rush and controls the game and takes over from the point, just super super smart.

Green is a puck rushing 4th forward type of dman, his defensive game is better than what it was but he is dynamite on the rush or with the puck, great hands, good passing and excellent wrist shot, he loves to attack the net, he needs to learn to pick his times but his raw ability is through the roof.

i still love him, i have him going 3rd....he has all the tools, size, skating, smarts, two way play, solid offensive skills, good defensive skills....but for some reason he just has not put the game together yet....but IMO he has too many tools and great size to not get drafted. He fell a bit for me, I was expecting a bit more from him, i come away wanting more from him because it looks like he could give a lot more.

36. Alexander Katerinakis—F—Royal 5’09/180 29 11 09 20
I like that you have Grametbauer and Pickard together, and Grametbauer ahead slightly. I can honestly say that I would also give Grametbauer the edge here since they are both technically pretty sound, but Grametbauer for me is a bit better at getting square and getting to the shot, both technically and athletically.

Maher for me was a huge and pleasant surprise at the Monctonian, his work ethic each and every shift was off the charts.

For me personally I would not see Arab getting first or even second round picked, same for Peveril. Somewhere in the 3rd or 4th for Arab, 4th to 6th for Peveril. My two cents.

Great update to your list, thanks.

Great update, as usual Scoutman. Glad to see solid Defencement like Neveu and Beck rising. Beck especially strikes me as having tremendous upside.

I have a few questions regarding some of the Québec players.

1- Two MAAA guys i'm surprised have not made your list are Magog D Thomas Grégoire and CND W Samuel L'Italien who after starting slow, now has 11 points in his last 8 games. He is also 6'1".

2- How far of your top two rounds have hyped guys who have not been putting much numbers lately fell? The G. Sylvestre, Sévigny, Taillon, etc.

3- Any changes at the top of your board for the 2015 draft?

I see you add Krys to the top of your list. could you provide a little information on him as i have heard his name but not alot on him? Is he that far ahead of everyone else? Also, if he doesnt commit do you see someone taking a flyer on him like the mooseheads did with Eichel and if so how high?

some people like Krys more than Day in the US......Krys is a great skater (Day is a better skater though), Krys is smart, excellent vision and passing on the rush, he is able to control the game in all three zones, he is great rushing the puck, he is responsible in his own zone, his puck handling is forward esq, this kid has the potential to be an amazing two way defender in the league he is already one of the best 98 talents in North America, like i said some in the USA are dead set Day is the best 98 defender from there but there are many too who think Krys is the better talent.

As for a team taking a flyer on him well that depends when the phone calls and interviews start what his answer is going to be...I myself even if a kid says im going USA and he is actully serious about it well I think a team in round 4 or 5 should just take a flyer on him anyway, the rule is in the draft you have to take 2 USA players or else a fine is in place why not take a flyer on a guy who could be a star in the making...he will get drafted to the QMJHL and I have a feeling it could be a lot sooner than later but I thought the same about Hanifin too and he stayed in the USA.

funny you mention Gregoire and L'Italien....I never had good reads on them at the games I attended, now i will be going back up to see them more so im hopping to get better looks then at them...........Sylvestre i was expecting to be much much better than he is but I have all of them going from round 4 to round 6

my 2015 draft I have a fight for 1st overall going on now....imo Charlebois was the clear cut number one but I think Adam Dawe from Newfoundland is creeping up and has a chance at passing him for 1st. Dawe is just down right amazing, Dawe is one of the best players in newfoundland major midget this year as an exception player, Dawe is 3rd in the league in scoring player 18 games getting 11 goals and 17 assists so far as a 13 year old in midget.

Great job Scoutman. I agree with Charlebois and I heard great things about Dawe from NewFoundLand. Have you seen the guy I talked about Jeremy Fortin? Tremendous IQ and hockey sense, another top talent for 2015 IMO

Thanks for the input. Hope he stays in the US and goes the college route like Eichel (and hopefully hanifin). Should be fun and interesting to watch.

All I know about these kids is Campoli looked like a stud at the All-State, if he's only the 3rd best player it looks like a pretty solid class.

Still mind boggling that Balmas is tied for 2nd in points in NSMMHL with 4 less games played & on the worst team in the League. That's 38 points in 20 games on a team with only 4 wins.

Wow if Dawe is on par with Charlebois than the 2015 QMJHL draft will be something else!!

Any 1997s you see making a push for the top two rounds like Boivin and Goulet last year other than Hamer?

There are a couple of 5'9" offensive forwards who were ignored last year and are having great seasons this year: Chapleau (CCL) and Payusov (Châteauguay). Patrick Poulin's son was ignored at last year's draft but is producing at 1 point/game pace and is 6'2" 190 pounds.

I do not see much for a top 2 rounder except maybe Jesse Hamer on Newbridge....going to be a little tougher for players to slip through the cracks now with the 16 year olds getting drafted until round 8 now.

Any word on whether or not Michael O'Leary will come to the Q? He's playing at prep school, will he want to take the NCAA route?

personally I do not know yet but I will say speaking with his father many times he is always talking about what is best for his sons education and though CHL has a good school program when a player is concentrated 100% on school well you have to think he is going NCAA but could have a short list of teams he would play for.

Scoutman , after spending 3 days at the Reebok challenge, I think you should re evaluate your rankings !!

really!!! you watched three days of these guys and you know them better than watching them in many games.....well do not just tell me I have to re evaluate tell me where you would make the changes and why....remember never scout just off a three day tournament, any player can have a bad weekend or amazing weekend.

Off topic Scoutman but can you comment on D Graham's bounce back season with CHI so far. Did he reinstate his NHL potential.

I question how many games you you actually scout !! You're ratings seem to be done by stats only and NOT by overall performances.

When you have guys like Bilodeau and Argento ahead of Sylvestre , Bourque , Beaudin on D I'm sorry their is something seriously wrong !! Sylvestre was probably the most dominant 98 D at the REEBOK Challenge ... Most Q scouts consider Sylvestre the best 98 defensive Defenseman in the league and he's not even in your top 36 , I was told that Sylvestre was chosen to represent Quebec at the U16 tournament in Chateauguay!! You say this kid can go in the 6th round him...
