Really impressive win by the OKs tonight. Being able to matchup with Portland despite losing the amount of talent we did since last year is pretty damn impressive.

Beauty game by the Kings Friday vs the Hawks. Shows we can still roll with the big boys.

Speaking of the big boys, Medicine Hat's in town tomorrow with the Central Division lead on the line. Should be a good one!

There are a lot of strong teams in the WHL this season, probably moreso than in years past. It'll be interesting to see if the OKs can keep up with them.

Beat the Tigers 2-1 behind a huge performance by Jarry. Stopped a 3-on-0 breakaway to salt the win. Three fights, kids singing Christmas carols, my 6 year-old now addicted to hockey. Great night.

I think we're tied for first in the division now. What a recovery from that early season mess.

Now that's impressive.

Another great win for the Kings. Awesome for them to avoid a letdown after an emotional game vs Portland. Things are really coming together for this young squad.

As an aside, Calgary managed to beat the Hawks as well.

I'm going to the game on Friday, so get ready for some of the worst player analysis you'll ever see.

OKs win their seventh straight game tonight in a wild 7-5 affair; Moroz with 2 goals and +2.

Chase with an assist in a 5-2 win against Lethbridge. Everett dug themselves a 3-0 hole but Khaira scored less than a minute after the third Spokane goal to get the Tips on the board. 3-2 now going into the 3rd period.

Also Nurse -3 in a 4-3 loss tonight to North Bay. Two of the GA were shorthanded.

Kid is having a hell of a season, already at a career high for goals, 4 points shy of his career high in points in only 31 games.

Oil Kings are now in first place in the Eastern Conference.

Kudos to the players, coaching and management.

That is quite the achievement.

Considering the amount of significant roster turnover from last year, yes it is. Credit to Laxdal's system and philosophy.

Listened to a bit of the game and an odd no call on the ice last night. Samulleson appeared to score, but the net was off. Issue was there was no indication by the ref if it was a goal or not. By the sounds of it there might not have been conclusive evidence on the replays so there was no choice other than to call it no goal.

Laxdal should have been the rookie coach we hired for the Oilers.

Mark my words, in five years, we'll wonder how Laxdal got away.

Might be, he's listed on the third pairing on the Oilers site. I guess it depends if Petry is healthy enough to play.

No idea if he plays against Boston tonight if that is your question? Also please convert your posts to English before posting in the future or they will be deleted.

Oil Kings won 7-3 tonight. It was a dominating performance.

Samuelson had a hat trick tonight, Moroz laid some great hits and had a goal as well.

Irving looked impressive (even though he did allow a breakaway that lead to a goal).

Moroz had a great game tonight. Made a great pass to Samuelsson for his goal and absolutely ripped a slapper for his own goal. His toolset (at least in junior) resembles someone like Bill Guerin, although obviously this is only in junior.

I'm dead serious when I say this: the Oil Kings would likely do better in the NHL than the Oilers team we have now.

Stupid ****ing Oilers.

Anyways, it's good that Moroz is succeeding. We really need him to turn out.

IF the OK's can battle through the conference to another championship series, wow. They're looking nearly unstoppable lately.

And can you imagine the possibility of Edmonton/Portland III?

Portland isn't even the best team in the Western Conference this year, as scary as that is to imagine.
