Is that a nickname for Goulbourne? If so we have Ghost and Ghoul.
I see some marketing opportunities in the future when they're both Phantoms.

My concerns with Nick Ritchie are:

1) multiple shoulder injuries
2) major conditioning problems

The shoulder injuries are the most concerning, especially for a player who is a very physical player. I know the conditioning problems can be corrected, but for a guy who is in his draft year, you'd think he'd take his conditioning more seriously.

I don't think you can go wrong with either player, but if you're taking Ritchie, you hope that he's over his shoulder problems and that he's going to buy into a conditioning routine.

I'm not sold on Virtanen, personally. The skills are there, but the question is, can he put it together. With that being said, he's also one of the youngest draft eligible players this year. He'll be one of those guys who gets drafted in which teams think he'll grow into a dominant winger. The good about Virtanen is that he's a smart hockey player with a rocket of a shot and good wheels. He's not afraid of the physical aspect of the game and he always keeps his head up. One skill he also has, that not many mention about, is his ability to slide off hits. Going forward, he needs to work on his consistency and he needs to finish more opportunities he creates. Calgary isn't a high scoring team either, so it's fairly easy to limit Virtanen's chances in the sense you shut down the Calgary top line, and there really isn't a 2nd line that's going to scare you.

Thanks. It is hard to say where a 17/18 year old will finish once they grow up. So that being said I hope the Flyers "load" up on wings in next years entry draft.

I like Morin, but I really wish we grabbed Mantha at 11 last year.

Worst case, he'd be there as the 3rd emergency goalie. Most likely backup.

Ghost is going to college for 4 years right?

Also, why hasn't Morin been playing much? I know he was suspended 2 games, but is he hurt or just scratched?

All I know is, I can't wait for Laughton to come up next year .

Just curious, from the Phantoms, who is probably the most mobile D-man we have down there?

Morin got suspended again. If I recall correctly, he attacked a player who boarded him.

If you watch the games it is ridiculous how much he is targeted, and how much other teams get away with stuff.

Part of it is that he is so big refs think he can handle all these things, but another part is that teams know he will defend himself and its a good way to get him out of the game.

Feeling really bad for Noebels. Murray has really soured on him. From the games I have seen him play in, he hasnt even looked that bad. Tough to get things going though when you are constantly a healthy scratch or put on the 4th line.

Also Phantoms having a terrible time scoring. Murray's system really creates problems getting offense going. I know none of these guys are blue chip but former 2nd round picks, CHL/NCAA scorers should be doing better. Murray's system is known to have problems scoring goals though.

I second this. Kid puts up 50+pts in his first pro year (ECHL and AHL), and should of been top 5 scorers for the phantoms. Its a shame how hes being handled I think.

Yeah can't say I understand why he'd go with that. Should have went with a more Philly approach with the Liberty Bell and founding fathers.

Yup, apparently paying homage to our military services is frowned upon around here.

Nothing wrong with it, nice to pay homage to the military. I personally just wouldn't dedicate a whole mask to choppers, fighter planes, and a huge tank. Its his mask, he can do whatever he wants.
