Huh, Flyers only took one penalty tonight.

Hopefully that's something Berube drives home to the team.

Solid 60-minute effort. It's a shame about losing the shutout with under a minute left, but that's one less impressive stat Mason's agent can use when he asks Holmgren for the moon.

What I liked about Raffl's goal was that he stared down Price, who was lunging towards the far post, and then put it top shelf behind him. Too few of those this year. Plus Giroux bending his shot around Price like Wanted.

Nice roster, too. Hartnell - Schenn - Simmonds wasn't the train wreck we anticipated, and generated some good pressure. Voracek was an improvement on his season to date. Coburn continues to impress. Welcome back, Gustafsson. I didn't see the Emelin game misconduct hit on Downie, though. I assume it won't be too tough to find a clip.

Strong bounce back. Panic trade(s) averted for a day.

I feel justified after that one guy flaming me before the game then having Berube make the same lineup decisions I was asking for then having the game go like that.

Anyhow, solid game. Damn shame for Mason's shutout but that's usually how it goes for our team and shutouts. That second line wasn't nearly as bad as we all thought it might be and that Raffl goal was impressive. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come for him because that would be very useful if he could become a top six guy for us along the same lines as Read.

Giroux got the GWG and two points tonight yet I don't see anybody clamoring about his "leadership". Funny how that works.

Great game, hopefully more like it. We always seem to do well against the Habs (similarly to how we always seem to do well against the Islanders) so just keep this lineup intact (meaning no more Rosehill or Meszaros for the love of God) and we'll wait and see here.

Mason gets roughed up, and Giroux is nowhere to be found. What a sucky captain he is!!!

Better?

Reminds me of earlier today. My wife texted me that I was right and she was wrong. Now I can never upgrade this phone!

Someone must have stolen her phone because women never admit when they're wrong...

good bounce back win tonight.
next MTL/Flyers game ought to be fun. Gallagher looked like he wanted more of a beating.

Subban's dive to keep more seconds on the clock had me cracking up.

Raffl continues to impress. He may not ever develop a scoring touch (though that was a nice shot tonight), but he makes really smart plays and has pretty good poise for a first year NHL player.

Giroux and Voracek looked good tonight. Nice to see. Both of Voracek's assists were beauties.

And the defense as a whole played solidly. Mason played as well as you could ask; shame he didn't get the shut out.

Also nice to see the team stick up for Mason there at the end. And I hope Downie's alright.

Raffl was really good. Shame Voracek missed an open netter after a perfect feed from Raffl (just before Grossmann's pass to a stickless Giroux ). Oh, and a second to Grossmann for his perfect assist on Galghenyuk's goal.

Remove Hartnell from first line insert player X score 2 goals.

Let's hope that the 1st line clicking wasn't just an anomaly. Watching it happen gave some more sizzle to the game, I've properly missed that.

I love Mason's game and his toughness (did he always have that?)

Coburn was quietly really good. These games we should be really glad to have him.

Raffl has always been a scorer wherever he played. You should not forget that all of his experience with NA hockey has come this season and some of it was spent far away from a scoring line. Right now he is showing that he can score when given that role. Looking at all of this he has in my opinion adjusted really fast to the NHL and continues to do so.

i love the fact that Subban came running and wanted to aggravate the situation but he finds himself stuck with Coburn
