Did anyone happen to catch that Cory Sarich hip check on Recchi? That was awesome. We need more of that. Nice period by Sarich but he had a wide open shot with alot of traffic in front and he hesitated. Gotta let that one go as soon as it's on the blade.
By the way, VinnyL gives the best interviews on the team.
What a shot! Vinny and Marty....the dream team! I hope they turn this season around like they did in '04. Looks like it's happening, but I don't want to jinx it.
By the way, VinnyL gives the best interviews on the team.
Definitely true. He actually knows how to talk. It's amazing. Marty is pretty good too. Prospal is always funny. He seems like such a nice guy. I'm glad he's been scoring again.
As for Boyle being defensive MVP, there's not too much to go for. If anything he got extra points for singlehandedly bringing us back into that game against the Rangers. Still, I probably would have picked Sarich. Though Boyle is not that poor of a choice. He may make some bad plays but so does everyone when the team is playing badly (except Lecavalier and St. Louis of course ).
If Torts splits those two up again he should be fired immediately.
I really don't know why he did in the first place. It's almost an obvious choice. The only hard part is whether to put them with Prospal or Perrin. Hell, if I were just throwing players together like Torts does (though I think most coaches play like that without admitting it) I'd toss Craiger on that line a few times to make sure their rebounds go in ...especially against Fleury!
It's nice to have guys in the top scoring where they belong. Finally, Marty and Vinny get noticed league-wide.
CSF, I thought of you when The Chief declared Boyle defensive MVP
Instead of watching the Dan Boyle inteview I decided to pray that the Lightning don't sit on a one goal lead and continue to play the way they have the first 2 periods. I don't think I can take another final period like the one against the Wild last week.

Kuba would have been my personal choice. Sarich is either really good or really ****ing bad. Tonight both he and Pratt look good. Pratt has been quick on the puck tonight and is actually hitting people. The thing about Kuba is you get the same thing every game, which is really good for a dman. He rarely makes mistakes and if he does they are usually not that big. Watch him on the PK, he has been solid as a rock.
I hope I didn't just jinx him. I have a way of doing that.
Like at about the 20 second mark of the first period tonight?
Yes, but I already mentioned that Also, you're right, Kuba would be a good choice. Actually he probably is the best. Important PP goals, a **** load of blocks, and all-around good play. I had just forgotten about him somehow.
Sarich does have the potential to suck, but he generally doesn't. Plus he did elbow that dick Neil in the face last year when I wanted him to.
