That was a awesome hit....did not see any problem with the hit. His elbow naturally followed through after leading his shoulder into his shoulder.
Really should not have been a penalty....but I understand there trying to protect the players.

Tavares is classy compared to most star players.

Every team needs these types of players. Great players to have. Take up a bulk of the defensive load, chip in offensively, opens up space for offensive players to not have to tone down their game to stop top lines.

He's a 200 foot player.

This guy's amazing.

lol to get Tavares you're looking at 1st, Galchenyuk, Tinordi, and Beaulieu.

Maybe that package gets you Tavares.

Snow wouldn't accept it, but ownership might.

We won, but I almost fell asleep a couple of times during the game. With the way we are playing, and the number of goals we score, we should call ourselves Montreal FC.

I thought Murray played very well. Played a solid game and did what no other Montreal D can do -- physically dominate a puck battle.

I lol'd late in the 3rd when hickey went into the corner and he just demolished him.

Him and Diaz compliment each other well. I'm not like the Gorges-Emelin pairing at all.

Don Cherry complimenting Desharnais: saying he has a heart of a lion, while showing his play on the OT winner, and that he has a great name except he kept calling him Desjardins or something like that. McLean was like, close enough Don. It was pretty funny.

The more and more he plays I like what I see. The team knows he not fast so any time he pinches I always see a forward drop back to cover him.
What he brings to the team is something we have missed for a long time.

Murray is a damn fine 3rd pairing D-man, when paired with someone who can cover for his failings.

For what he's paid; he's awesome.

That was cool. I'm not impressed with size for size's sake, but in that case, Murray's size created a turnover and allowed him to clear the zone. Big is nothing without smart; it was nice to see both.

I'm guessing Emelin is still a long way from 100%. It took Diaz over a month to regain some swagger; it's fair to give Emelin a few more weeks to get his timing back. Once he does, he'll hopefully add an offensive balance to Gorges' game.

I hope. I find what is hurting the Canadiens is that before Markov and Subban were on different pairings, Montreal's transition game was strong, but now outside of that pairing, no one can move the puck efficiently on the back-end. Even Diaz is more inclined to skate it out or chip it off the boards that make an outlet. The Habs had a better transition when they were missing Markov and their D was composed of Subban, Gill, Gorges, Spacek and Hamrlik.

the last game I can remember being that dull was that 1-0 overtime win we had last year vs. Jose Theodore and the Panthers. Dear God.
