Except running a goalie is illegal and puts you on the PK so they won't do that because their goal is to win the game. Also, these are professional players so pretty much all of them have done or have been a part of a lot of incidents like that so they probably don't care all that much considering it was one game over the span of 82 plus playoffs.

I certainly wouldn't put Rosehill in. Make Erskine irrelevant by giving him nobody to fight. They'll probably keep VandeVelde in anyway.

Berube has shown a tendency to keep playing a winning lineup until it loses. Despite how archaic and thoughtless I think that is, it's what he does so I would be surprised if there were any changes to the roster.

They won't. Grudges aren't worth it. You very rarely see that sort of revenge act.

Grabovski is out today with the flu, that's a huge boon for the Flyers

The teams play consecutive games. If Washington wanted to exercise that belief, it could be suspended for Tuesday night's game unless Emery played in both matchups which would be extremely unlikely. Any type payback wouldn't have to be employed in this game. Considering their power play success, Oates' game plan would emphasize that more than anything.

Michael Latta has been recalled for the Capitals. Jay Beagle is now second line center. (changes made in the first post)

Hopefully you guys are right.

If we go up by any substantial amount this one could get ugly.

I realize its not Philly/Pitt but our history with these guys isn't exactly dandelions and unicorns.

The NHL has a somewhat inexperienced official doing this game, too. Maybe that won't matter but it is interesting. He is also a former corrections officer.

I've often realized when fans make a big build up for a game because of recent events in another game that nothing really happens. At most we see a fight just to get it out of the way & they get back to hockey. Even that is very unlikely IMO though.

I'm not saying there's no talent beyond the 1st line for the Caps - but that's a 1 line team.

Eagles decided not to show up today - hopefully the Flyers do.

Schenn, keep your head up.

I have the Washington broadcast. It's generally 50/50 if they're pretty good or horrifically unbearable.

I wondered the same thing, but it's whatever. Schenn was getting leveled no matter what there.

a PP would have been nice.
