He was back Friday. Looked good. First period was shaky but was good the rest. He should start sharing stars with Nihlstorp now.

He's an overager. This is his 5th year.

EDIT .... I just realized he's undrafted. Some team will probably sign him after this season's performance.

It looks like Molin is starting off quite well. He has a goal and 2 assists in his first 3 games with Rogle. 1 point in each game.

Maine just wrapped up a 7-1 win against American International College. Shore assisted on the first 3 goals and scored the 4th goal.

Nicklas Hansson scored his first pro goal today.

Check out about 1:35 of the clip in this link. He scores on the PP to make it 2-2.

Shore actually had 4 assists ... 5 points total ... and his goal was shorthanded.

Devin Shore's big night jumped him up to 9th in Hockey East scoring, but he's played fewer games than most. He's 6th in points per game.

Also, in his 15th game he scored his 7th goal. Last season in 38 games he scored 6 goals.

The curious case of Branden Troock. For all his health issues, the dude puts up some points.

Troock has been phenomenal this year. It has always been evident he had talent but now he is healthy and it looks like you guys may have another 5th round steal out of the WHL. Guy has the whole package size, speed, physicality, good shot, offensive instincts. He is good in front of the net and has had a few beauty tip ins lately. Now that he is playing with confidence he is just dominating. Couldnt be higher on this kid was hoping the sharks would draft him in 2012.
There is a little write up in this article on him that sums him up nicely http://thombeuningsinthecorners.blog...r-tuesday.html

Thanks for the link and the update. How would you feel about having him in an overage year?

Best part from the link:

Quote:
Troock is a powerfully fast skater, a physical force with good hands. He can beat you off the rush, with a wicked snap shot from the slot or by going to the net and redirecting shots or pouncing on rebounds. He's become a tremendous force on the back check as well. He's an athlete who happens to play hockey and right now he's playing it very well. This is the Troock we saw glimpses of over the past two seasons. This is the Troock the NHL's Dallas Stars believed they were drafting in the 5th round two years ago, and that's the Troock!

Lindell picks up a shorthanded goal. He also made the outlet pass that lead to the Finns other goal, not sure if he got credited with an assist on it though cause it was partially intercepted by a Canadian player.

Heres some more info about Lindells performance this morning from Corey Pronman:
Quote:
Esa Lindell (DAL) had a solid game. Until Rasmus Ristolainen arrives, Lindell seems to be one of the go-to options for offense from the blue line and he embraced the role. Lindell joined the rush, activated well from the point and was dangerous on the man advantage. He made a few nice plays in his end as well.

World Juniors:

- Sweden: Ludwig Bystrom
- Finland: Esa Lindell
- Czech Republic: Radek Faksa
- Slovakia: Matej Paulovic

Is that everyone this year?

I'm pretty sure Paulovic got cut.

EDIT: Actually ... according to this IIHF article he didn't even make the pre-roster team.

Apparently he made a 38 person selection camp per TSN, and then he didn't make the pre-tournament roster.

I don't think Bystrom will make the team, he looked lost against Canada today and was on the 4th D pair in both pre-comp games, he just hasn't looked good in his limited minutes.

Watch the WHL free tonight and tomorrow night with this promo information.

Brendan Troock plays games both nights, so does Winther and Sinitsyn, and Cole Ully plays one game tonight.
