Nice to hear that Stortini is un-predictable. That IMO is something that we've missed in an enforcer for many, many moons.

Quality as always, Guy. Some very nice players at the AHL level.

Question: which of the three (iyo) Dmen among Gilbert, Syvret and Roy gets the next callup? Sounds like they're close with Gilbert maybe lagging a hair.

I'm not Guy of course, but IMO I'd give Roy the shot. IMO Syvret and Gilbert bring similar games, but we need to see if Roy fits into our future plans or not. IMO he has put in the most dues and he should get the benefit of the doubt. Syvret would be #2 and Gilbert #3. I'd like to see some of these guys getting at least 10 games in this year. I know that many here don't like the idea of another under 25 year old d-man, but if they are our best options at the present then play them.

Good comments on JDD, he's having a solid season and I'm hoping he's ready to assume a backup spot with the club next season.

Good article indeed.

I like it that Radunske wants to stay and prove himself in the AHL (and hopefully he soon gets the chance to..)

Pretty pathetic viewership for this great article. This is a semi-bump to hopefully get more people to read this article and contribute to this thread. Guy does a great service to this board, take advantage of it and his inside knowledge and read this article.

Just letting you know i read it so my appreciation is known. I'm interested to know more about the type of player Brodziak could become? I always thought of him as an outside shot to be a forth line center, almost a Toby Peterson type career, but with that point progression maybe a pisani esqe? Anybody's thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks for the update. Interesting to hear about the stick issue for Schremp. Who knew? I mean, besides Guy?

Yeah, Guy helped to fill us in on the situation. I'm not sure if he originally briought it up or not, but he gave us in-sight like only Guy can.

Just from listening to the games, he is very defensively aware, great on the fore-check (causes many blunders by the punkhandlers as well as gets take-aways). He also sounds like he has a very good shot. He's played the point a few times in WBS on the PP. Great on face-offs, but from what I hear his skating needs improvement. However with his incredible play on the PK, if he's not very fast then he has to have a very high hockey IQ. IMO he's the heir apparent to Reasoners spot on the 4th line.

I didn't bring it up, I was saving it for the story but I think Prendergast was on one of the other TEAM 1260 shows later that evening and mentioned it after we discussed it earlier that day... serves me right for trying to hang onto a little tidbit until the right time.

Good idea, start up a new thread everytime that you hear something new Either that or buy KP dinner somewhere so that you get all of the inside stuff before anyone else

He's got goals in 2 straight games so hopefully for whatever reason his goalscoring will come back around. Playing with Mikhnov instead of Bonvie will help a fellers point totals as well .
