That would have helped. You had me fooled. It sounds like something you'd hear someone say on here being 100% serious.

The thread on Harry Z when we traded him was a good one.

There has been a pretty good amount of suspensions lately, mostly no namers but still.

This Leafs/Pens game is getting pretty chippy here, Kadri just tried to throw a flying elbow at Crosby but missed.

Kadri is certainly building a rep for that.

At least he didn't kill Lupul this time.

Didn't Lupul get him last time? Give Lupul 2 for instigation and suspend them both for 5 games so they can't appeal

Yep, Lupul elbowed Kadri. That was pretty damn good one too, I was surprised Kadri wasn't injured.

was that last night?

I think he should be suspended just for intent.

EDIT: nvm it was last month... league should suspend action too, not just result.

Am I the only one who notices that there are so many ****ing threads about a player going to Toronto? I swear, they want every player ever, and have to make an individual thread just to talk about it...

They want every player but no player on their team is worth giving up for somebody.

Detroit 0-2-2 since 24/7 started filming
Toronto 1-4.

I'm just curious what the winning percentage is over the last three years of teams when they have the 24/7 crew in their locker rooms. It seems like every year, the main storyline is teams going through a rough stretch and everyone is on edge.

I still think the hit by Carcillo on Carter was better....

I cannot help but smile when I look at the NHL standings and Colorado and Toronto drift further down each time.

I actually do not mind either team... and would go as far to say I have a soft spot for both. (yeh... don't ask me why with Toronto, I have no clue.)

At least a lot of Avs fans near the start of the season said things along the lines of. 'well, yeh, they are playing well, but it is unsustainable.' Compared to Toronto's 'whooo, best team in the league, SCF here we come.'

Just more proof in advanced stats.

I imagine Anaheim may be the next to fall slightly... but not too much as their zone starts are nice even if their PDO is unsustainable.

And maybe the Rags need to be watched out for, their PDO is unsustainably low.

Flyers are pretty much bang on average/playoff cusp all around, 14th-19th in most areas, though they need to take more shots tbh.

It's the advanced stats that Leafs fans ignored. Toronto didn't even pass the eye test; outplayed and saved by goaltending... could actually win them a Cup, if they make the playoffs, but unsustainable over an 82 game season.

Wasn't there team SV % ridiculous over the first part of the season, like .940?

That and they were being insanely outshot a lot of the time. I can't remember who they were playing, but they ended up winning in OT despite being outshot 50+ to around 30.

I think as of late they have been generating a good amount of scoring chances but lacking the finish on it whether it be a hit post, hit player, missed shot, etc.

Yeh... on phone so can't check, but I reckon you are right and their shots taken pg are far proportionally higher that the spg count!

So many missed shots this year.

Flyers are 11th in missed shots. 230 of them.
