I know this is said way too much, but I think it's really the case tonight: THIS IS A HUGE GAME. At some point, this team needs to stop the win four, lose four pattern and start becoming more consistent. Tonight's a good test and a good chance to put the Islander game behind them and get a win.

I'm expecting an exciting attack to start the game too. The Senators attacking Jagr and the rest of our softies, and the rest of the team doing nothing about it.

From Newsday....... "Renney said that after tuesdays game Henrik Lundqvist looked fatigued and was leaning towards starting Kevin Weekes in goal tonight." So there ya go folks. Sorry to guys like balej and whoever else is going to the game. You obviously pay to see Hank, but I think this is the right move. However as I said before my confidence in Weekes is waining and now that I hear this I am semi glad that I'm working and will miss periods 1 and 2.

Just because he says hes leaning toward Weekes doesnt mean he gonna start. Weve seen Renney pull a fast one more than once.

NYR.com is saying Hank is starting.

Every game is big but to me this game is a special one because the Rangers have been such a streaky team you dont want things to start going south again, especially at home in front of the crowd you let down on tuesday.

Look at the last 26 games, they've had a winning or losing streak since mid november

Loss 2
Won 3
Lost 4
Won 5
Lost 7
Won 4
Loss to the Isles...???

Jesus this team is riding the rollercoaster. Everything indicates a loss tonight the way this season has gone. If you had a line chart it would look like a freakin heart beat...

given the rangers track record when drafting, they have no other option but to beat ottawa tonight and everyone else until game 82. IMO they have no other option than to go for the cup 'cus they ain't gonna get it done through the draft...

.. I'm confident the Rangers would have passed on Ovechkin ('04) and Crosby ('05) and instead would have drafted a Joe Shmoe and a John Smith respectively...

No Volchenkov tonight.

This is huge for you guys. Anton has been our best defenceman this year, and would have had the task of shutting down Jagr. That will now be delegated to Chris Phillips.

I agree..And, I know the team often tunes out Renney's philibusters and recycled rants, but if they don;t respond in a positive way to what has been said the last two days, something is serisouly wrong with this team that can't be fixed this year..

I expect a really strong effort from the Rangers tonight...but they gotta keep it smart (especially the D-men) or PPs will kill them

I just hope he isnt rusty, but seeing as he hasnt played in what 8-9 games he most likley will be . Maybe knowing Henrik isnt there to back them up, will make the team play better. Wishfull thinking.
