The "McKinney Avenue" sounds amazing and is what piques my interest about the place. Chicken apple sausage? Sign me up.

KConn with 22 minutes, Oleksiak with 16. Not hard to figure out why.

Chiasson finished -4, ouch.

Is it bad to say Oleksiak looked horrible? Think its time for him to head back to Austin.

How long have you been gone? Bread Winners is pretty much the go-to brunch place in Dallas.

This team stands around so much. Offensive, defensive, and neutral zone. Zero movement, no creativity from anybody except Seguin and Nuke. Lackadaisical at best.

Give Oleksiak one more game but pair him with Dillon. That pair works.

Fraser... Just leave.

There can't be any way they haven't talked about that. The lack of movement is a problem in most of the games.

Almost two years now. Might give it a try in a couple weeks.

If it was Seguin there, we'd hear all about how he was stuffing himself and not keeping up with a proper diet.

Also, Jamie Benn isn't a skill player. He has DECENT hands. He's got to quit trying to do so much. You're a power forward man, play like it.

When Rome is healthy again I wouldn't mind sending him back and seeing what either of Nemeth or Jokipakka have. Just like I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Chiasson scratched tomorrow in favor of Fiddler for a game to light a fire under him.

This game was just awful outside of some amazing stick handling by Nichushkin at times. The Chicago game was more impressive than that 2nd period tonight.

Ruff said he has talked to Dillon about the penalties before and will talk to him again. He said he and the coaching staff have to try to help players like Dillon, Oleksiak and Connauton handle the additional pressure.

"I’ve got to work with them," Ruff said. "They’ve got to play in the big situations against the big players and they’ve got to make those plays for us. It really falls on my shoulders to get them there."

Can't say I agree with that. When you look back at some of the better goals he's scored, you simply don't score them with 'decent' hands. His hands are one rung below elite IMO, but he simply has games where he seemingly coasts through in a lackadaisical fashion offensively for whatever reason.

I think Benn's biggest weakness limiting his consistency is possibly his hockey sense. He's not a guy like Hull/Ovechkin/Stamkos who just finds ways to get open and alone. He's a bull when going through players, but he's not sneaky player that can lose defenders easily.

I'm seeing it a little bit different. I think he's got great hockey sense, but pairing ti with trying to be a player he's not.

Yeah he's scored some really fantastic goals, but at a conversion rate of what.... 2% when he tries to dangle? He's got one move when he approaching a defender. Put it through his legs, which fails 90% of the time. He can be great on the boards when he uses his body, and he has a world class shot. Let Nuke and Seguin do the fancy stuff. You're the net presence guy for the line. Stick to the half wall and the slot. KISS.

Right now Benn's stickhandling ability is still light years ahead of Nichushkin.

Per Coach Lindy Ruff, Cameron Gaunce is a game time decision to make his @DallasStars debut tonight
Damn.. Jordie is really in the doghouse if an AHL callup is getting consideration over him. I doubt Gaunce plays tonight, but interesting. Rightfully so perhaps.
