How did Mason play?
At one point he swallowed an infant Capitals fan entirely, and then pulled the skeleton from him throat.

Officiating was also great. Kept the game under control, but let them play with emotion.

It says a lot that so many Pens fans are taking Schenn's side.

Coby has his mean face and I made a post in the gdt that he was gonna have a monster game. He needs to get amped like this for all the games.

Post-Game:

Random Commentator Whose Name I Forget: "And the refs seemed to agree as he got called for a five minute charging and not a boarding. Which basically means he left his feet"

Toc: "Well, you don't have to leave your feet for charging..."

Sometimes I wonder how people get the jobs they do.

Anyhow, great game aside from that incident. That whole incident kind of soured it for me though.

They hate that guy, if they're not saying he dove on it than it must of been bad.

It's amazing how Coburn has turned his season around. He's steady as a ****ing rock. It's crazy.

Hey if someone told me the Flyers would beat the Caps in home and home points 3 to 2 I'd take it.

Loving Raffl right now even though he wears #12

Exactly.

The CSN Washington postgame is usually about as homertastic as it gets. They're saying Wilson deserved what he got on the ice, that Schenn didn't see it coming (much less turn into it) and will later be discussing how much discipline he should get.

THe flyers offense has really turned it around and i think a lot of credit has to go to Raffl.

His move has made the 1st line better and the 2nd line better.

Same. That was really scary watching him collapse several times. For what it's worth I've seen better results with guys who look really bad like that.

MSE, I was half expecting a update with time he will be out ha

I actually thought he was pretty good even when the team was god awful to start. He wasn't outstanding, but I thought he was solid, and not anything resembling the true bonehead Coburn. I honestly think we haven't seen that Coburn yet this year.

All around, I've been really pleased with him this season. On nights like tonight he can really drive the play, move the puck, and make a difference in both ends.

That's good. Glad he bounced back.

Wonder who is up if Schenn is out and Vinny is out for awhile. What I hope is someone like Cousins or Akeson get called up. What the flyers would do is VV gets moved up, or Read plays center now or McGinn/Newbury/Holmstrom gets called up.

Schenn walked out of the WFC after the game & looked fine according to reporters, hopefully he just had the wind knocked out of him.
