Shoulda, coulda, woulda....typical Leafs vocabulary. I've been hearing Leafs fans use selective revisionist history for a long time.

«On utilise les joueurs qui nous permettent de gagner» - Therrien, au sujet du temps de glace de Brière. Le message est clair!

Speaking of players who make us win,

The Murray signing is clearly one of Bergevin's most solid move.

I remember in bantam doing the teemu celebration in a tourny after beating our 'rival' town...and an all ice fight broke out, and we were kicked out of the tourny/finals.

do these things still happen in minor hockey? it has been a long time.

Dude, that's Daniel Briere. It's like people are surprised about what they're seeing. What exactly did they expect from him?? Score 30 goals on the wing?? Why would the Flyers buy him out if he was this solid player.

Briere needs sheltered minutes and has to be used in the offensive zone starts.
Right now he's playing on a defensive line, little offensive zone starts, didn't even get PP time.
I can't believe I'm actually defending him, but there's nothing surprising about his play here. If we're gonna keep using him as so, he will remain totally useless.

I feel bad for Briere, he was showing nice chemistry with Plekanec and Gionta and Therrien seperated them for no good reason.

Pacioretty said Smith told him to watch the slewfoot. Max didn't think he wiped out goalie as badly as how he went down

I agree its not been great. Look how Therrien handled DD.... I know everyone probably still has it out for him, but look at Davey out there recently. To me, he is a bit of a different player than he was, and is finding his chemistry with patches.

Similar approach should be handled with Briere... give him an ultimate shot, give him the icetime. If he still stinks the place up then look at other options. We are paying him the money, don't give a guy that much money and then rip him off the ice the second you don't see what you like. The organization should work through this with him, he has the potential to be an effective player with us. Lets not just dump him for the bag of pucks hes worth at the moment (probably)

I would also just like to say I didn't mind Bourque's game tonight either.

It's the best system because the bad teams are not congratulated with a first overall pick.

Also, me and you can decide to start a soccer team, join the worst division and make our way up to the bigs over time.

That's the way it should be.

As an accomplished actor Smith is a good authority on what to watch. He also recommends seeing The Producers on Broadway.

I'm not fully standing up for him, he has gotta turn things around... I guess I just really wanna see that fistpump of his more often

Well there's a poll asking if Leafland could support a 2nd team.If they added the wins from both team together than it would at least give one of them a chance to make the playoffs.

Came here to post this.. he's on the cusp of breaking out really soon. He was dominating the board, setting up players, getting his shot off.. a few miscues with a bouncing puck, but man, he's confident with the puck and his vision is off the charts. That pass to Gionta goes to someone like Pacioretty or Gallagher, it's in the net.
