Isn't named here either: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_5_draft_results

He was already Jays property by 2001.
This is confusing. Half the sources say that and half the sources say he's a notable rule 5 selection.

Apparently Amaro wants in on the reclamation project business too! Of course, he screws that up as well by signing the one guy that's least likely to amount to anything productive, and that's a Rays retread! (Roberto Hernandez) Someone needs to intervene and get that poor team some kind of competent management.

Side note, every time I venture over to the MLBTR comments section, I run into the new class of baseball idiot.

I like the guy who suggested Adam Dunn and Addison Reed for Rickie Weeks and Jonathan Lucroy today. One of my personal favorites from reading the comments section for about 3 years.

That's a good one. I saw Stroman, Sanchez and DJ Davis for Chris Sale and a fringe prospect only for Jeff Samardzija.

Also that Stroman and Sanchez > Walker as a trade headliner.

Stroman is so overrated. You cant disregard the fact he's only a little guy.

I'm trying to remember one deal from a few years ago from a Padres fan. Something like Venable, Castro (who was a good prospect at the time to be fair), Aaron Poreda and some other crap prospect for Ryan Braun. Made me laugh.

Looking at the inflation these free agent deals and it's amazing that baseball just got so draconian with amateur spending rules. Throwing money at every two sport athlete or kid with an NCAA baseball commitment would do so much better long term than bidding against each other for James Loney.

Mike Pelfrey, 5.19 ERA. 4.48 career ERA. 2 years/$11 million. Give a round of applause for the Twins' front office.

Blogger Murray Chass put up a good blog post on his blog recently on Tony Clark and Dave Winfield becoming the first former players to take leadership of the MLBPA.

Theres a 20 year old named Jameis Winston who's actually a decent two sport athlete, grew up about 5 miles from where Bo was born and raised

Have you listened to Getting Blanked podcast? It used to be fantastic, but they're recently changed the format and it's not quite as fun.

i listened to the baseball today podcast with eric karabell and keith law and assorted other personalities but that was cancelled/repackaged.

i've listened to the baseball show with rany and joe since its inception and now that's gone too.

When the Tribe talked to Tampa Bay, names mentioned by the Rays were Carlos Santana and Danny Salazar. I was told those two were starting points, and the Rays also wanted some top minor league prospects. I heard Francisco Lindor's name also was mentioned.

Andrew Freidman is a mad man. Sad thing is, he'll get what he wants.
