Outstanding GDT, great storytelling and gave me some hope for the Habs going forward. Awesome.

Briere has a NMC and stated today he hasn't asked for a trade, so he's not going anywhere in the short-term I would think.

Therrien, to his credit, hasn't been afraid to sit veterans or regular roster players (Bourque, Desharnais, Murray, Bouillon) so I would assume this is just keeping with the "accountability" mentality and nothing more.

Very nice GDT! I think we have a good chance at winning tonight, providing Price keeps up the good work. Which I don't see why he wouldn't. I'll say 4-2 Habs.
Gallagher, Eller, Borny, Patch in the empty net for us. Go Habs!

An update from a Blues fan for you guys and your GDT. One of your LWs this game will be Carlo. His first game ever as a LW, and yes we are all afraid of the potential. Anyway, I was the guy who asked the question about Subban and the Olympics, so Ill be watching this one with interest for sure. Good luck guys, and hopefully it'll be a good one

None of these guys have the stats and carreer that Brière got. Murray and Bouillon know darn well that they are #6 or #7 d-men on this team. Bourque was injured most of the time this year. DD is a special case.

Desharnais. An overpaid forward having a crummy year. Hmmmm...

We're not hating on DD, but there is a line that his enablers and apologists are overstepping with their undeserved heaps of praise and rosy projections.

Glad for white. He deserves to play. Briere has been used in a poor way but I think his scratching may be addition by subtraction.

Going to a Christmas dinner tonight so ill miss the game, but im gonna say 4-2 habs

Plekanec
Subban
Bourque
Gionta(EN)

Berglund

I have yet to see anyone defend him on this site. all it is is the anti DD and Gionta circle jerk that got really old in 2012.

Do I need to name names? The Desharnais thread features several enthusiastic biographers.

Meh it hasn't left that thread then. I'm a DD fan tho FWIW I think he is one of the few players on our team who creates things, even with his HUGE flaws.

Friends, I know this is very off topic in a GDT but since I don't want to start a new thread.. does anyone here know where I can buy horse meat in Montreal?

Those "We're not worth it!" smilies are really worth it, so I used a bunch of them. Superb GDT Mr. M, definitely a contender for GDT of the year!!

I still think this was a bad move, but I can't help but feel sorry for him. I'm sure he's trying, but nothing works for him and the more this will go on, the tougher it will get.
