Glad he's finally gone. I bet he outscores Yakupov in the remainder of the season.

The oilers are purely horrendous at getting the best out of players. What they are skillful at is making players the bad guys every time and having half the fool fans lap it up and have the hate on for the player. Amazing people on here are still dumb enough to fall in line with the oilers propoganda machine.

Half of those players actually played in the NHL before coming here. The others played a handful of NHL games.

Omark doesn't fall under either one of those categories.

IIRC, Souray, Glencross and Penner played for other teams before joining the Oilers. The rest were Oiler draft picks. Who played for the Oilers for a while. Before they were traded. Like ... Omark.

So because he's an Oiler draft pick he'll automatically do better elsewhere?

Like JFJ? Stortini? MAP? Schremp?

I don't recall saying that. I just didn't understand you saying Omark was neither a player who played in the NHL before the Oilers, or a player who played a handful of NHL games.

Anyway, I still bet he outscores Yak during the remainder of the season. And I'm full enough of Christmas cheer to bet my avatar on it!

Best of luck to Omark in Buffalo. I honestly wish him the best and hope he can make some sort of NHL career for himself.

Always was pulling for him but it was obvious he wasn't going to crack this roster going forward and it will be nice to see if he can do better within the Sabres system.

He has less NHL experience than anyone listed and unlike those listed, hasn't had any success.

I was a big Omark fan and I wish him all the best in Buffalo. It was obvious he wasn't the right fit here as we already have plethora of small skilled forwards.

It's just the poster's agenda to harp on everything so he can turn out right at some point.

Good luck Omark in your dream to play in the NHL.

Sorry you had to be drafted by the Edmonton Oilers where prospects like Lupul, Nilson, O'sullivan, Schremp, Pouliot, Niinimaki, Brule, Plante, Nash, Teubert, have watched their careers die.

Lupul's career was on the downswing upon leaving Edmonton. Riley Nash isn't great but he's an NHL player at the moment. So many guys come to Edmonton with high expectations and have the worst years of their careers.

I'm so tired of this!!!

I'm sure this was the deal at the start of the season. Put your time in Linus, if you have a good year and we can't call you up to the big team, we will trade you.

Both the player and the GM lived up to the deal.

Personally, I think it's a good sign. It drives a stake into the small/skilled player concept that Oilers have dug themselves a hole with. Finally, the era of the Youtube player in Edmonton seems to be passing.

If you can't play 5 on 5, you can't play.

Empty slots bring in new opportunity. I'm all for it. Linus was not going to make it. Sure it was a weak return, but I think this was more about living up to a gentleman's agreement from the preseason. It was MacT's message that the small & skilled era is done in Edmonton. It's about time.

Riley Nash never stepped a foot in Edmonton..... As well osully and brule were already on downswings beforehand. Nilsson/Schremp were overrated to hell like everyone of our players and prospects. Players don't simply come here to suck, we bring in crappy players to begin with.

Trade means also that OKC has limited chances to make play offs

Im genuinely glad Linus has a chance to have a shot at making another NHL team. It was never going to happen with the Oilers because it was not the right fit, but I think he can make it somewhere else.
