I have organized a bunch of us from the Nasty Nest (nastynest.net) to sit together at the game. Right now, I have 49 ppl in the group!!! We have seats in rows T thru Y in sec 112, which is behind our attack twice goal.
Because we have 20+ ppl, we are getting a discount If any of y'all want to get in on this, let me know and I'll order some more (I have to order 6 more at this point anyway).
btw, the game is on a SATURDAY

Reason: Cannot sell tickets here gamera, but no problem with organizing a road trip.
just as a point of information, i don't have any tickets to sell (i would have to order them from the canes)...i only listed the price so ppl could decide if they wanted in.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i'll try anyway. I'm interested what kind of fan culture you guys have there, in Atlanta or in any other city. I mean, are you guys making some noise all the time during the game in the stands (eg. football games in europe), or only when something worth cheering for happens? Do you guys have some sort of official 'fan stand'? And besides this one, are there any official away game fan trips (or so) to most (or even some) away games?
I'm sorry if this doesnt belong here. Thought i'd ask since it somehow relates to my question :p
Oh and, hope you guys will have a great time. I'd like to see the game aswel, too bad i can't.
well, all of us are a little different....I tend to yell the entire game, pretty much, but we're not as organized as european football fans are...we try sometimes! I am one of the louder ones in the arena, actually hahaha people ususally plug their ears if seated in front of me, especially at away games
as far as "fan culture" goes, the area where I sit at philips arena is known as "the nasty nest"....it's generally the place where all/most of the chants start. We have certain ones that we do at certain times of the game...such as, right after a goal is announced, yelling "(goalie name), (goalie name), (goalie name), YOU SUCK!" or occasionally, "He shoots! He scores! You suck!"
there are several other "organized" chants as well.
I travel to alot of away games, but that's just cuz I'm crazy and right now am only working part time....there are a few others who do a bit of traveling as well. One of these days, I'm getting a seat on the charter! unfortunately, there aren't any "official" away game trips...that's my job, evidently LOL
I think, overall, the "fan culture" here isn't as "hard core" as you have over there, but we still have alot of fun.
hyvaa kari!

Reason: spelling
"This is huge. It was not a good road trip for us, but we finished it on a positive note," coach Bob Hartley said. "We had tons of fans here. We could see the blue section. It was a big win for us. It'll do a lot for our confidence, and now everybody goes home happy to Atlanta."
The Blueland crew was loud and present, a third of the section they were in was blue and during the warm up, the glass was covered with signs. Hope you guys enjoyed your trip to Raleigh.
I thought it was really cool how you guys came in a big group. It was great to have you. Perhaps you were one of the many Thrashers fans I shook hands with and said "good game" to on the way out?

cool...yeah, I was the one in the blue jersey
y'all were awesome in person...alot nicer than you are on these boards!
I was very happy that everyone behaved themselves, for the most part (on our side and yours)...my first trip to Raleigh was a blast and we can't wait to go back.
y'all are welcome at Philips anytime!
I uploaded some pics, if anyone wants to check them out:
Saw you guys on TV. That was cool. When I first saw you guys I was like "oh **** the Blueland Army is invading!"
Bringin' a little European flavor to the NHL.
Loved all the flags and signs and stuff. And the scarfs are great. I have a Team USA scarf. More teams should have those.
Did you guys make up any chants or anything and stand up during the whole game? Now that would have been a European football-like atmosphere.
Of course, some people might not have liked the standing all game thing. I got yelled at one time for standing up on a breakaway. Sports fans these days don't know how to have a good time. Good to see Thrashers fans making an initiative.

Thanks!
We did have some organized chanting going on. I think we're all too aware not to stand for very long. It's not really welcome in any venue that I've been in.
that one in ottawa when kozlov scored the ot winner was awesome...thankfully it happened fast enough that nobody really had a chance to yell at me too much. besides, i'm only 5'3"...
