You speak like we're anointing him our savior.
The thread was not started to praise him but to discuss his place in history with other reclamation projects. That is the context in which I discuss him.

Off course I want for him to prove me wrong and be the player that his backers are saying he is. But the point was not a Pouilliot be praised thread.

So there's no further confusion, here's an illustration of how I feel about Pouliot's production:

Hopefully he does revert to that player, whom was much better on his previous 3 teams.

2010-2011 CANADIENS 79 13 17 30 2 87 1 0 4 129 10.1
2011-2012 BRUINS 74 16 16 32 18 38 1 0 5 107 15.0
2012-2013 LIGHTNING 34 8 12 20 8 15 0 0 1 60 13.3
2013-2014 RANGERS 36 5 6 11 -1 33 3 0 1 52 9.6

I'll take a 30 point 3rd line winger who is a + all day err day.

And? Is that supposed to be praise? The more teams, the better?

No, I'm clearly mocking you.

I.E. the fact that he's played on 4 teams in 4 years means you can suspend any further evaluation of him.

According to Twitter Benoit Pouliot's new nickname is Captain Taco. Why? I don't know. Just run with it.

How cares. He's played for 5 teams in 7 years. Get rid of him.

I don't think he really has points in seven straight games. If he did, four GMs wouldn't have cut him loose.

2.33 points for each team he's played on in the past 3 years.

Playing very well BUT lets see if it continues. The past 10 games have been very good but the previous 30 were god awful

I know they play different positions, but Brian Boyle averages 17 seconds a game on the PP. One thing we can thank Pouliot for is helping keep Boyle off the PP.

Pouliot plays in the same spot as Boyle would on the powerplay. It will be interesting to see what they do with the PP when Callahan gets back.

I dont think I ever ignored anybody except my parents, teachers, local law enforcement, girls with bad breath and anything Ron Smith said the last 20 games of the 1993 season.

Funny that a lot of the praise for Benoit is his ability to chip in ES points, but he's scoring a lot on the PP for us. He's so damn good at the front of the net, it's refreshing with Cally injured.
