They were when in the midst of their tail spin. You know what one or two wins does to a fan base though.

Carolina also sucks a lot.

Haha, yeh.

If I was a betting man I would bet Carolina, Ottawa, Florida, Buffalo and the Isles would all miss the playoffs, I think Carolina and Ottawa are worse teams this year than their records show. Their records through the last ~30 games are all pretty atrocious.

I actually think the Isles may finish behind Buffalo as well. 8 wins and 20 points in their last 30... though they seem to be pulling a cat out of the bag tonight.

I have to say if Kulikov and (to a lesser extent) Emelin make the Russian Olympic team, then there's something terribly wrong with the selection process.

The other division is much clearer then ours. It's looking like we have the edge in our division but it's really close and it's kind of a huge tossup after us and maybe NJ. Once Columbus gets healthy they might show up too but there's only so many playoff spots.

If I had to guess the standings by season's end it would probably be like this:

Boston
Montreal
Detroit
Toronto

Pittsburgh
Washington
Philadelphia
NJ/Columbus

I feel like NJ and Columbus are a huge tossup, but I think the rest of the teams in the East not listed (Ottawa, NYR, etc.) don't really have a shot this season even though there's still technically half a season to go.

The Islanders and Ottawa are a little mystifying considering how last season went for them. Just a little though. Neither of them have great rosters on paper and one or both of them have bad coaching it seems.

I don't think Russia is especially strong on the back end (they usually aren't), so them making it wouldn't shock me.

That being said, they may try to force an extra KHLer or two onto the roster to try and prove something.

The Flyers are now apparently 'most likely' to go 21-18-6 for the rest of the year.

That would give them a 37% chance at the playoffs.

They go 23-16-6 they have a 90% chance of being in. If they did that they would most likely be 6th seed as well.

Those are really the only two elite teams in the East right now so we would end up skipping out on them for the first round and playing one of Tampa, Detroit, Montreal, or Washington. That wouldn't be a bad matchup at all for us with any of those teams really. Assuming the Flyers don't regress and guys like Giroux, Voracek, and Raffl keep playing like they have lately.
Sixth place in the East doesn't mean anything. Sixth place in the East may be the first wildcard from the Atlantic Division.

Looking more like (if the Flyers make the playoffs), they'll either be the third seed in the Metro, or grab one of the wildcards.

Well, no, you're right, their defence is definitely worse than that of the other top nations, but those two shouldn't make it. And I don't think having a couple of KHLers over them would be trying to prove something. They just can't defend. Although Emelin can at least throw hits.

Also, ****ing Neal with the full house in a game full of highlight reel goals/plays (Tropp, Dubinsky, Crosby & Kunitz combo).

Just watched the third 24/7 episode. Martin vs Miller was hilarious.

Clarkson and his fascination with the water bottle was truly bizarre.

I actually liked this episode, they finally got away from all the boring personalities with a camera in their face & added more in game moments which lead to the Miller/Martin exchange.

Haha, go check out tonight's second Blues goal, where Connauton has the puck with someone yelling "heads up, heads up!" He does as told, looks up and then misses the puck when trying to pass it, only to have it stolen away and the Stars going down 0 - 2

Is there a way to download a game from Gamecenter or HockeyStreams? I'm a member on both and all, I just wanna watch tonight's game at work tomorrow and can't get the internet on in there.

Not on HS, at least not directly. Maybe you could record it using some software that captures the screen, though.

So I have the luxury of living in State College where we are provided with every broadcast of home Penguins games. So, needless to say if I'm in the mood for a hockey game I have the pleasurable Bob Errey right there with me. This guy is a complete jackass. They just gave their predictions for the Canada roster and Claude Giroux was not even mentioned. I mean on guys, are people really not giving G a chance here? Or is this just stupid Pittsburgh homerism at its finest?

Kunitz and injured Dupuis should play on Crosby's wing in the Olympics!!!!!

Anyone watching the Leafs - Red Wings alumni game 1? Hillarious moment when Mike Knuble was unable to score on a breakaway against 51 yr old Mark Laforest who was just lying on ice (Hasek-like save though)

Pens against the Devils, late in the 2nd period.

New Jersey up 2-1, when Kunitz missed an open-net goal.

Actually it would be better for the Flyers if the Pens win, but it's really, I mean really hard, to root for thmem.

At this stage, we have to concede the division to the Penguins.

So you're right, it's definitely favourable for the Penguins to beat all the other division opponents, minus the Flyers of course. Doesn't make it any easier to root for them.

It did seem silly but I can kinda see where Clarkson was coming from though. It was a sign of disrespect from Bertuzzi, who is one of the biggest ****bags to play the game.

I don't know if it's just because of who the two teams are and bc of how boring 24/7 was, but I really have little interest in the Winter Classic this year

am I the only one that feels this way?
