Just found this, fits in with the coyote fear.

Hunter Kills Dog In Front Of Owner After Mistaking It For A Wolf

What started as just another ski trip for Layne Spence and his three dogs quickly became tragic Sunday, when a hunter killed one of Spence's dogs after apparently mistaking it for a wolf.

Spence had been cross-country skiing near Missoula, Mont., when he heard what sounded like a gunshot, he told The Missoulian. His 2-year-old malamute, "Little Dave," then fell to the ground. As a man holding a gun ran from the woods, Spence said he started screaming "stop, stop" but said the man shot the dog at least four more times.

“My dog is lying there, dead, and I shouted ‘What are you doing?’ and the guy said, ‘I thought it was a wolf,'" Spence told the outlet.
Maybe if the dogs owner had been packing as well this tragedy could have been averted. I wonder how their drive home turned out?

And you're likelihood of dying from a nuclear bomb is far lower than either car or gun.

I would love to see guns treated like we treat driving and vehicle ownership.

Age limit, "strict" testing done in stages to determine competency, license renewal every few years, sticker renewal every year, insured, etc, etc.

Nobody wants to take away your guns, *******s, and any responsible gun owner should be advocating for the strictest guidelines possible to try to prevent idiots from owning guns and giving you a bad name.

Also, there are wide, vast beautiful places in this crazy mixed up world (some not far from where you are right now) where you do not need to worry about having a gun. Ever. At all. In your life.

I can't believe that a 60 year old man uses LOL to a level that even a 13 year old girl would say "hey dial it down a bit."

No?
Probably, but I also derive benefit from driving in a vehicle. I derive no benefit from me or anyone else besides the coppers carrying guns, while at the same time also being in greater danger as a result.

Where would that be? Before 2011 you'd have said Norway. I'd like there to be a place not in a Disney movie, but where are you thinking about per se?

A voluminous final report - thousands of pages long - was released Friday by the the Connecticut State Police on the investigation of the mass shooting at Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Here is the link for the actual reports:
Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting Reports

The reports below document the many stages of the investigation of the December 14, 2012 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Administratively, the investigation consists of three separate case numbers. CFS 1200704559 is the primary investigation, CFS 1200704597 is the processing of the scene at Sandy Hook Elementary School, and CFS 1200705354 is the investigation of the homicide at 36 Yogananda St. in Newtown.

As laid out in the Table of Contents, each investigation includes numerous written reports, with each case number available for separate download. Additionally, each investigation also includes various forms of multimedia including photographs, video recordings and/or audio recordings. These attachments to the reports are available for download under the case number of the investigation to which it pertains, and further divided by the document number of the corresponding report or other description.

Please note that many of the linked files are very large. These files will take a considerable amount of time to download, and may impose a heavy burden on the hosting system. We encourage you, especially with respect to the larger video files, to download and view the smaller files first to confirm your interest in obtaining the larger files.

For additional information pertaining to this report and the redactions that have been made, please reference the letter from Commissioner Bradford, as well as the Redaction Index linked at the top of the Table of Contents below.

Here are few of the news reports:

CTV:
Connecticut police released thousands of pages Friday from their investigation into the Newtown massacre, providing the most detailed and disturbing picture yet of the rampage and Adam Lanza's fascination with murder, while also depicting school employees' brave and clearheaded attempts to protect the children.

Among the details: More than a dozen bodies, mostly children, were discovered packed "like sardines" in a bathroom where they had hidden. And the horrors encountered inside the school were so great that when police sent in paramedics, they tried to select ones capable of handling what they were about to witness.

"This will be the worst day of your life," police Sgt. William Cario warned one.

The documents' release marks the end of the investigation into the Dec. 14, 2012, shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary that left 20 first-graders and six educators dead.

CNN
A final report released Friday on the investigation of the mass shooting at Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School offered snippets of the life of the reclusive and tormented young man who carried out the second deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

More than anything, the voluminous report -- thousands of pages long -- from the Connecticut State Police closes the final chapter on a massacre that triggered a national debate over gun violence, school safety and mental health.

In a heavily redacted page in the report, an unidentified witness told investigators 20-year-old gunman Adam Lanza hated his mother, Nancy, and Sandy Hook Elementary School. She volunteered at the school from 1998 to 2012, including years when he attended it.

"Lanza apparently felt that his mother loved the students more than him," the report said.
