Would be really phenomenal of Mase to just pitch a 1 hitter or maybe a shut out.

There was the decided shot advantage in his favor plus he is rested from the long holiday break. It could be a matter of playing Mason tonight and maybe Emery in Calgary tomorrow night, too.

They hit a bunch of posts. Mase is struggling a bit recently. I think we may need to win this game win scoring as opposed to lock down. Not sure though hopefully made has a great record against these guys.

Sucks that the game is so late. I'll have to watch the end of it tomorrow. I have work and can't stay up that late. I'll have to remember not to come here tomorrow so I won't see the final score before I can finish the game

Projected lines tonight...........

12 Michael Raffl - 28 Claude Giroux - 92 Jakub Voracek
19 Scott Hartnell - 10 Brayden Schenn - 17 Wayne Simmonds
24 Matt Read - 14 Sean Couturier - 40 Vincent Lecavalier
36 Zac Rinaldo - 18 Adam Hall - 9 Steve Downie

Very uneasy about touching the third line, I wish they would put it back to Downie being on it. But what the heck can you do?

He was hung out to dry multiple times by the defense. Hes not playing as well as he started but I wouldn't say he's struggling. Just more that the defense continues to put him in bad spots and he isn't bailing them out like October and November.

I think Mason will bounce back at some point. Saturday night was just a terrible night for team defense. That third goal was on Grossman. In my opinion his only bad goal was the 2nd. The flyers need to play better tonight if they want to win.

This is not true at all, The canucks media predicts every game as a loss.

I'd absolutely say he's "struggling", in fact, I'd saying he's playing bad.

He's let in a ton of really soft Bryz/Leighton style goals over the last month and if it wasn't for the offense getting 4+ goals a game we'd be losing a lot of the games lately.

A ton? I can think of two or three weak goals all month. Please feel free to show me these tons of weak goals. I've mostly seen the defense turn the puck over in prime scoring areas. There's actually been a ton of that.

This is extreme exaggeration. Or you just forgot quite how bad a true "Bryz/Leighton style goal" actually looks.

This GDT is simply amazing. Incredible.

As hot as we are right now, G could easily rip apart our mangled D. Very impressed with Mason reinventing himself with the Flyers, he always had it in him and I'm happy to see him rebound so strongly.

Mason has come back down a bit from playing like an all-star through the first part of the season. However, he did get enough on Perron's breakaway late in the 3rd after L Schenn thought he was Bobby Orr at the Oiler blue line. And we still have a goaltender who can actually make saves in a shootout!
