1/17/07 Providence @ Wolfpack

Watching the game and the 1st period just ended with the Wolfpack trailing 2-1.

Valiquette and Sigalet are in net. Sigalet had an awesome period.

I tuned in by the middle of the period and 1 player that caught by eye was Greg Moore. Kid is fast! Weller instigated a fight and got an unsportsmanlike and the Pack was down a man for 4 min. Moore stole the puck from the point and took it down the ice and a Bruin player hooked him from behind. Ref called for a penalty shot. Moore went backhand and missed.

His next shift after the same 4 min PK, Moore took the puck up the ice with Helminen trailing and dished off an pass which Dwight deflected into the net for a SH goal.

I'll try and keep you guys updated. So far I was very very impresssed with Moore.

I've been watching a few of their games, and this is by far one of the best game Greg Moore has had this season... He looks really focused out there...

Havent seen Moore since preseason, but he impressed me in those games, especially with his speed.

ye... on Defense i've been more or less impressed with Girardi. Seems to know when to pinch in and keep the puck in the offensive zone.

Pack down 3-1 with 13 min left. Kalus for the Bruins just took a 5 min major for spearing Callahan. Big chance for WolfPack

Liffiton has always been terrible. But some reason a lot of people like him on this board. The guy will never find his way on a NHL team in a steady role.

Liffiton came back in the Barnaby deal did he not?

He was supposed to be that bruising defenseman that we needed on the backend. Disappointing for a 2nd rounder of '03, but maybe that year is starting to come back down to earth a little bit.

Exactly BigE...

people like to hang out hope for a guy like Liffiton to make it - his M.O. was tough, able to skate, will fight - exaclty what this blueline is missing. Unfortunately, he's just not very good.
