Makes me sick when a team is outplayed as much as our flyers but steal a win in the shootout, but not this time

Daniel Sedin selected as number one star. Two Van players in the top three. No Mason.

What a fun/stressful game to watch!! Who would have ever thought we would win two shoutouts in a row?!?! Giroux and Mason are amazing too.

Also shoutout to thepuckmonster and lucbourdon for repping your fanbase so well, nice to see you both in here.

It was a good scenario for both teams, we finished our month 10-1-2 and you get to climb up in the east.

I hope we don't keep rolling these badly flawed line combos because of a lucky win. I'm afraid Berube is a bit superstitious.

We got the biggest test of the trip out of the way with two points to show for so let's close this one out strong & hopefully not play down to Calgary tomorrow night.

Entertaining game to watch. Shame it had to end in a shootout. Congrats on the win, guys.

They're welcome back anytime refreshing to have opposing fans posting in our thread that add to the discussion and aren't trolls.

Good

-Giroux entered God mode this game. Just amazing. Shootout attempt was a tad weak but that's really it. Just amazing. Had a couple of great effort shots too one of which was a goal.

-Raffl is really becoming great. He's like a better scoring version of Read so far and it's awesome. That amazing Giroux goal wasn't going to happen if Raffl doesn't make a perfect pass on to his tape. He's really become very indispensable lately.

-Mason is amazing. He was a little shaky his last stretch of games before this but he really rebounded and did well this game. We don't win this game without him.

-We actually seem like a formidable shootout team now. Not a big thing, but it's nice and useful to not go into a shootout knowing we'll lose now. Raffl, Read, Giroux, and to a lesser extent Lecavalier could be a good shootout group and Mason is actually pretty good one on one which we haven't had in a goalie in a long time.

-Entertaining game.

-Vancouver fans are cool people.

The...meh

-Both Schenn's. I know B. Schenn got the GWG, but Read and Hartnell did equal parts in that goal and Schenn really just did there what we know he's good at. Finishing. I'm grateful for the tying goal, but he was completely invisible for the rest of the game prior to that. Luke was the same as usual. Wasn't terrible for the most part but he just is limited in what he brings.

Bad

-Meszaros. It's beyond me why he's on the roster at all. I'd even like Hal Gill better who has only played one game so far for some reason. He probably carries his own chair with him just to watch from the press box. If it weren't for Meszaros we have a decent chance at winning in regulation. He needs to be jettisoned into space or something.

-Berube for being guilty by association. He's having the team play much better lately, but what the **** is it with Meszaros? It's irksome.

Mason and Giroux were great and I thought Streit had a great game as well.

Coburn and Meszaros were friggin' brutal though

Missed this. An NYR fan texted me to say this was a fantastic game.

Stars are selected by home broadcasters, and the Johns are really huge homers. Don't think too much of it.
