That's ridiculously scary to think of.

Just looked it up. Holy ****, I figured Kelowna would be good, but not 25-3 good.

Wow, the OK's wouldn't even be top 3 in the West...

Like I said, there are a LOT of strong teams in the WHL this year. The OKs being able to hang with them is pretty impressive.

9 straight wins after a 4-0 win against Saskatoon tonight. Moroz with 1 assist on a PP goal.

That would be sick. The series would certainly have a different complexion than the past two though given that the Kings are not quite the offensive force they were in '12 and '13.

Kelowna has a ridiculous record right now. Impressive for sure.

Jarry continues his strong play tonight with a shutout.

Davis Koch and Chance Patterson played their first WHL games for the Oil Kings and looked pretty good.

We should ask Laxdall to come in and teach The Oilers about heart. The entire Oil Kings team is passionate and stick up for each other, it's wonderful to see

Had their 9 game win streak snapped tonight despite outshooting Victoria 40-29. Moroz did score a goal though.

He's done a really good job with a team with a lot of turnover this year. Couldn't be worse than our current situation?

Actually, scratch that. Hopefully Laxdall can remain with a winning organization like the Oil Kings and hopefully whoever hires him in the bigs.

Part of me wants to see Laxdal with the Oilers, but at the same time, I'm also wary of making that move. It seems to me that a lot of the good WHL/junior coaches who have tried the NHL (Sutter, Clouston) haven't had much success in the bigs. Even Tom Renney had a pretty decent WHL team back in the 90's. The two leagues are different - men vs. boys.

Don't get me wrong, I love Laxdal's coaching work and I hope that he sticks with the OK's for a long, long time. But that said, I'd hate to see him turn out like the other WHL coaches who have tried to make the jump.

deBoer and Hunter have had some success, I thought Hunter in particular was great. Laxdal really seems like he's got his **** together tho

mike Babcock sure didn't work out although he did coach in the A for a brief period between WHL/NHL.

Lazar and Reinhart have done a terrific job for Canada at the WJC (so far). They both play a calm, but aggressive game, contributing both offensively and defensively. I don't doubt their experience in the WHL playoffs and Memorial Cup has had a tremendous impact on them.

I'm more of a "scoreboard following" Oil Kings fan and only catch 1 to 2 games a year, so this is the most I've watched of either player.

Lazar has been one of our best players. Reiner had a good game today and should improve as he gets his wheels back. These are two great players. I wish they were Oiler property.

I was hoping EDM would be able to acquire Lazar somehow. At the time of the draft, I felt 7th was a bit too high, but looking back he would have been worth it (still very happy with Nurse).

I'm no scout, but watching him, he just looks like he'll be an invaluable NHLer. A guy who will always make the right play.

Oil Kings snap their three game losing streak tonight, winning 5-4 in OT. Was not pretty coughing up a three goal lead, but got the 2 points.

Yeah Brandon definitely made a game out of it for sure.

Liked that the OKs pulled through though. Very nice seeing Samuelsson get two goals.

They will try to acquire some scoring for the top six imo.

Listening to the junior game on TSN radio now. Wow, two of the three goals and three of the four points recorded are by Oil Kings so far.

edit: Canada just scored - Pouliot.

Oil Kings acquired Defenseman Blake Orban for a second round pick, from the Vancouver Giants today.

Orban, 19, has a career high 15 points this season with the giants. He's a right handed shot.

Unlike IATL, I thought they needed defensive help, especially with Griffin gone. Good move.

So where does he fit in the rotation, how do the pairings look when Griff comes back?

They traded for that kid because they want veteran depth for a playoff run, not to "replace" Reinhart for three games.
