The U-17 Championships are underway and the Czechs seem to have a half decent team.. But they are missing a lot of key players. Michal Spacek, Tomas Soustal, Lukas Andel, Lukas Jasek, Jakub Zboril and others. Which would make this team A LOT better. Is there a specific reason for this?

Ive watched a few of the games and so far David Kase is outstanding. As well as Simon Stransky and Filip Suchy. Daniel Vladar seems like hes going to be a high goalie draft pick as well. Hes been the biggest reason Czechs are getting results.

Spacek, Zboril and Jasek played for U18 team last week. Soustal is nothing special IMO.
I really like Simon Stransky. And of course, Vladar is excellent prospect, could develop into the best Czech goalie since Hasek IMO.

Yeah I just found out on hokej.cz. Those 3 would make a huge difference.

Yes Stransky looks very impressive for sure. And even Filip Suchy.

Im very excited about Vladar as well. Best since Hasek? wow that would be awesome.

Thanks for the info once again!

I'm being optimistic here. I think we have some good drafts ahead of us. 2014-2016 drafts look pretty stacked (compared to some preivous ones) and also right now it looks like in all of them there will be at least one first rounder.

Yes your right. They are stacked. Just think about how our WJC U-20 team will look like next year and the year after...

Forwards
Vrana-Pastrnak-Karabacek-Jenys-Vopelka-Spacek-Jasek-Zacha-Chlapik-D.Kase-Stransky-Suchy-Svoboda, 95 borns, Kubalik, Zdrahal, Kampf, O.Kase,
Defense
Pyrochta-Pycha-Masin-Zboril-Budik-Hajek-Doudera, And 95 Kostalek
Goalies
Vanecek, Vejmelka, Vladar
Pretty darn good if you ask me
Who do you think will go first round in 2016? Hajek?

Vrana, Zacha, Vanecek
Pastrnak, Spacek, Vejmelka
Karabacek, Chlapik, Vladar
Pyrochta, Stransky
Pycha, D. Kase
O. Kase, Suchy
Jenys, Zboril
Kampf, Hajek
Zdrahal, Jasek

Looks very good.
To that question: I'm not a scout so I have never seen those guys play yet unlike Czechexpert.
I look at it just by stats and things I'm told or what I find on the internet about them.
But I believe it could be Stransky (since he's late 97), Doudera, Hajek, maybe Budik, Hrdinka.. it's still very early so it's hard to tell.

Same with me. Im no scout either. I go by the same things you do. I have been watching the World U-17 challenge online though. Hajek is looking very very good. As well as Stransky.

This is their last game against Canada Pacific. If they win then they secure a final 4 spot. Free live stream. Game starts at 6.

I didn't even know there was a possibility to watch. Where can I find the stream for that?

d-corp could be like Kostalek, Klok, Andrlik, Stencel, Dvorak, Masin, Zboril
problem is that there is only one right handed D

Not that bad defense compared to recent years.
Do you consider Zboril as a first rounder next year?

Is Andrlik good enough to be drafted?

has enough talent to be first rounder but maddeningly inconsistent and character is ?.

I've been thinking about this now. Look at guys like Faksa, Frk, Straka, Culek, Plutnar, Musil, maybe even Machac, Volek.. They were all pretty highly touted before going to CHL already, especially Frk, Faksa, Musil and Straka. One thing they all had in common is that they had a very promising beggining in the CHL but then started slowing down. And look at them now, if just one of them has a successful carrer in NHL, I'd be pleasantly surprised.
In the contrast look at Hertl or Jaskin (he went to CHL when he was 19 and for one year so that was not that big problem), hell even undrafted Nosek would be better prospect right now then most of these guys if he were drafted IMO.
Maybe it's still too soon to tell but do you think CHL ruined these guys?

Maybe they get more hype and popularity in the NA which they cant handle? just a guess.

Good to see him admitting his character problem in this interview:

"Chci se také zlepšit v chování a v Kanadě na to hodně dbají. Na ledě jsem takový, že když se mi něco nepovede, tak se hodně rychle naštvu a mám výpadky ve hře,“ vysvětluje.

Ok, that was one tourney.. but overally over the years you've had a chance to see him, what do you think his ceiling is? I see he's getting pretty big ice time in senior Pardubice team which suprises me
