Is that for real or you just made this up?

I think we should have one big sticky to discuss line combinations.

For the last few games, I prefer to wait for the puck to drop before expecting any kind of lines...

I, for one, enjoyed watching the Higgins-Plekanec-Johnson line. They were really working the offensive zone.

Anyway that's my two cents.

So the real line are:

Higgins-Koivu-Ryder
Latendresse-Plekanec-Kovalev
Samsonov-Bonk-Johnson
Perezhogin-Lapierre-Streit

That actually doesn't look too bad. Replace Samsonov with Kostsitsyn and it would look better.

If this is infact true i'd be quite happy, about time they tried the Samsonov-Koivu-Kovalev line. The fact that 2 of our best offensive guys being Sammy and Kovy have been strugling for so long without a change of linemates boggles the mind, it's about time they got put with Koivu. You'd think this would be the last chance for them to start producing.

Edit- so they weren't in fact the real lines, I hope the new ones work but i really would like Carbs to eventually put those 2 on either side of Koivu.

I hope that he keeps the same line for at least 3 games to evaluate. Trying a line for just one shift aint going to cut it and Carbo did that a lot in recent games. I think it's tough for players to get back on track when they consistenly have different linemates.

I have no clue why he broke up the Higgins-Plekanec-Jonhson line but I like the fact that he's bringing back the Higgins-Koivu-Ryder line that was very good early on this season.

I like thoses lines, but the only thing I would do would be to switch Latendresse and Higgins. That would balance the lines IMO, plus I love the Pleky/Higgins and Latendresse/Koivu combos.

Carbo never tried to play Samsonov with our captain. So i thought something like this could work:

Samsonov-Koivu-Latendresse
Ryder-Higgins-Kovalev

I love the new lines ! I really think that Samso and Bonk together is the ticket. Sammy will benefiaciate from Bonk sound positionnal play and his speed will spice up that 3rd line ; a shooter ala Ryder would be better to complete but Johnson might be fine too.

FINALLY, we'll get to see what Sammy can do away from the extinguisher that is Kovalev

I think carbo should try this;
Samsonov-Koivu-Ryder
Latendresse-Higgins-Kovalev
Plekanec-Bonk-Johnson
Perezhogin- Lapierre-Streit/Downey/Murray

Give Samsonov a chance to get going on the first line with Koivu already. What is SO hard about this?
