Tigers' goaltender Langhamer preparing to compete at 2014 WJC

Just like all other participants at the 2014 Under-20 World Junior Championship, Team Czech Republic is amid its preparation for the annual pinnacle of the junior hockey season that is this time being held in the Swedish city of Malmö.

After a six-day training camp in Rokycany, just outside of Pilsen, the team's roster will be trimmed to its final shape and some players will be left at home, while others will leave for Scandinavia.

The training-camp roster includes Dallas Stars' 2012 first round pick, Radek Faksa, 2014 NHL Draft prospects Jakub Vrána, David Pastr?ák and Ond?ej Kaše, a 2015-draft prospect in Pavel Zacha, and a trio of goaltenders, each having a chance to become the number-one in the Czech net come the start of the WJC.… read more

Ranked 6th in WHL. Pretty good, Coyotes have a bright future with home grown goalies. Visentin, Domingue, Burke, and now Langhamer.

Going to make sure to watch him. The arena is just half an hour away for me. So stoked.

Not sure how many of you were watching, but Langhamer and the Czechs just beat Canada. Amazing.

I was watching the 3rd, OT and shootout lying in a dentist's chair. I had to stop myself from cheering when Simon scored. Will never forget that moment haha.

Langhamer gets player of the game for the Czechs, though they lost 3-0 to Germany. Pretty much hung out to dry for most of the game. 3rd goal was a bit weak as he drifted to far across but not a bad game considering most of his teammates apparently decided they didn't need to play this one.

I'd really like to try and watch some of the Coyotes' prospects. Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of what players on each team are associated with a particular NHL club? They have been showing plenty of games on NHL Network.

Another great game for Langhamer, stopped 31 of 32 against Slovakia.

Looking like they'll be getting Finland in the quarterfinals (barring a huge win by the Swiss today).

Sounds like he's having a hell of a tournament so far.

He certainly gives us another prospect. Question is who's going to steal the backup role from Greiss? And when is that going to occur? We need someone to push Smith in years 3-6 of his deal. Greiss is UFA and we may have difficulty giving him upwards of $2 million and/or a multiple year deal to keep him in the fold.

Finland beat the Czechs 5-3. First goal wasn't good as Langhamer should have been up against the post, second was after he put a rebound right up the middle, no chance on the 3rd or 4th goals. Made some good stops during times that Finland was dominating to keep them in it.

A lot to like about what Langhamer showed in the tournament. Wasn't perfect and it won't move him ahead of Visentin or Domingue right now but it keeps him on the radar.
