He does get some hits in. Look at the stats last year. They're just not memorable ones. They're more like 'excuse me--I really didn't mean it' hits.

Ewwwww! He wouldn't play. I see no reason to grab him when they have Asham who doesn't play as it is.

How is it that amazing? I had no idea WTF the people who thought there was no way he'd be claimed were talking about.

In b4 Pens put him with Crosby, Crosby shoots pucks off Pyatt's butt into the net, and HFNYR declares his waiving a bad move.

Worth considering but with Callahan coming back I don't see it happening. Rangers seem to be happy enough with JT now--Konopka would give us 14 forwards. He'd probably be sitting more than playing.

The best part was his response. Would you rather have Pyatt or (insert Pens trash here) and everyone was like "yeah I'll take the trash"

And so the Taylor Pyatt era ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper.

Konopka does literally nothing but take faceoffs. Which might actually be a step up for most of this roster.

Pittsburgh has a lot of injuries. Claiming Pyatt makes sense for them. They are a top team in the East and Pyatt will add veteran experience.

I'd look into Konopka. Rangers could use that grit and F/O ability.

Pyatt was a total abomination this season apart from 2 games maybe. He was just plain lazy and played with no fire at all. He was hideous to watch.

That he sucks. Perhaps that was what people were thinking. That he sucked for a year and a half.
Now everybody who thinks they are somebody will be posting "i knew he was gonna be claimed"
Unless you are the GM of Pitts no way you knew he was gonna get claimed.

Same **** when people look back way after a trade and claim they knew it was gonna be a bad one.

Thank the lord this guy is gone. Peace suckah.

Actually, the Rangers are idiots.

Pens are in a much better position to acquire middling forwards when theres 2 generational centers on the roster.

But he doesn't suck. He's just there. Pyatt is neither bad nor good. He's the most nondescript player in the NHL. This team needs to purge some identity-less players, though. It needs some form of emotion.

he at least knows how to win a fight.. he would be the toughest player on the Rangers at the moment... he at least does not get his ass kicked like when we watch Brian Boyle (all the time) or Dorsett (most of the time) fight

As a fighter I would take Dorsett over Konopka any time. Konopka is a very overrated fighter.

And you were wrong. He was claimed 100% of the time.
