I hope just because I want to know how the North American commentators pronounce his name
Haven't spent as much time watching teams other than canada lately. Just too busy this year during the holidays. Have caught bits and pieces of USA/Sweden games. Forsberg's skating ability is quite evident.
With all due respect, I see most of these guys as being Victor Bartley types-- decent fill-in, number 6/7 guys, but ideally not someone you want in your lineup every day. Bitetto probably has the best chance of all of them, but I guess the point I was making was more "true top 4 upside."
Nashville needs scoring. Bitetto will provide some of that from the back. Valentine is a big hitter who doesn't take stupid penalties like Tootoo or a few current players on the Preds roster (and he can play the wing at the AHL level).
Nobody in Milwaukee is another Weber or Suter, at the moment. Maybe there is another Hamhuis in the bunch.
What I've seen Saros in FEL (22 gp, 1.71, .930) and WJC, he's solid every game and IMO huge steal from you guys.. 4th round pick and Saros isn't really far away from NHL-level. And he's 18. Give him year or two and he'll be ready.
Didn't know where to put it on your board but Maenalanen (5th round in 2013) is looking quite good in the SWE-FIN Gold Medal Game. Big player who's showing some good offensive ability. I've seen him a couple of times in the SM-Liiga and he's looked decent there as well. Might have a bit of a steal here!
You guys should be really excited for Saros. IMO he's the most promising goaltender in the world right now. He is probably ready to play in the NHL in 2-3 years. He already dominates the Finnish Elite League the same way Antti Raanta did last year and look how well Raanta plays in the NHL now. And Saros is only 18 years old.
