As for Jason Krog moving between Matt Cullen and Brendan Shanahan, maybe that’s not the answer to getting Shanahan out of his scoring slump. But Krog certainly has more playmaking ability than Betts, who readily admitted his shortcomings in that department the other night.
Of course, everything stems from the 2nd line and the moronic signing of Cullen (even if he is still ourt best option in the NHL), but when Life give you Lemons yadda yadda.....Who knows what the Hell the Rangers are making...
I have no clue what Renney is doing with Prucha wasted on a 4th line again (There may be a case for limiting Prucha's ice time BUT NOT WHEN THE ALTERNATIVES ARE THE LIKES OF KROG,CULLEN,HOSSA, etc..)....And Hollweg out of postion as a C? ....and a 2nd line, often the most important line, constructed of Shanny and two wimpy, prancing non-entities like Krog and Cullen.....Krog scores one goal and his spot will be cemented...
It's really quite simple..Given what we have...
Straka-Nylander-Jagr
Prucha-Cullen-Shanny (you can switch Prucha and Nylnder maybe)
Hollweg-Betts-Orts
Hossa-Krog-Ward...
The rest of the line shiffling will amount to nothing...Renney is just being too smart for his own good..
Couldn't agree more about Prucha being wasted on the fourth line. How's a guy supposed to snap out of a slump when he's playing with Hollweg and Ward, who have little to no offensive abilities whatsoever? He's so much more than an energy guy, he deserves better.

Agreed. For a coach that has been loyal to several players such as Malik no matter how awful they've played at times this season it really makes me wonder what it is about Prucha that has made Renney shove him on the back burner.
Makes you wonder if he's just become one more coach that's lost the balls to do anything but ride his veteran players no matter how incapable some may be..
I'm holding out hope that playing first Betts and now Krog on the second line is a cry for help from Renney. If not, then it's just weird.
You would think by now they would learn that they need more then a 3rd line checking center to play 2nd line. Holik, Rucchin, Cullen...I mean they were all capable players but none have been used in their correct role. This off season better bring us an actual offensive 2nd line center ala Drury or someone similar..

Maybe Renney is thinking that since Prucha being paired with guys with no offensive skill, maybe he wants to see Prucha control the line by himself I wonder if our other coaches would have done this as well.
I hate Prucha on the 4th line, what a waste of talent. Thank god he is not a UFA right now, otherwise if i was him, i would book the first plane out of here.
I hate the lines as much as you guys do, but lets face it, 2 shifts into the games, Renney will change the line up as always.
I personally think the PP needs to be split up. Jags/Shan and Straka/Nyl shoudl all be on different pp lines.. cause our no. 2 unit is horrible.
PP units :
Jags/Nylander/Prucha
Hossa/Straka/Shanny
and put cullen on one of the points and call it a day.
