Don't be fooled by the angles. I mean, they all look as tall as Price behind.

The hawks are on a totally different level than the habs, just stop already. Price has looked mediocre at best in the playoffs also, he is a huge question mark.

Never thought I'd live to see Whitesnake use Lapierre as an excuse to post a babe pic. Darkest day in HFHabs history

Uh... cmon guys. Anyway, can we give Hossa a Canadian passport and roll Sharp-Toews-Hossa in the Olympics?

Watching Rangers Pen's. Man did we ever get burned on the McDonagh deal for Gomer. Still having nightmares about that one.

IMO that will go down as one of the dumbest trades ever because McDonagh did not have to be included.
It is great to see the Rangers sucking though. Sather blows

Yep, I liked Bob as a person, but as a GM he sucked sheet. McDonagh never even got a chance. Bob tossed him away for a washed up vet making 7.4 Mill for a few years.

I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest he'll continue to get more starts than Halak down the stretch and be "1A". I could be wrong though. As an Elliott owner in a keeper league, it's unsurprising to me that he has gradually taken the bulk of the starts. I don't think it's a feat to even predict this as it already happened in the prior 2 seasons.
What are you even talking about? The only time Elliot has ever ended up with "the bulk of the starts" was as a result of Halak's injury spell last year. The bulk of the starts these past two weeks? Sure. Otherwise? Not even close. They even finished December with 8 games each, lol. As soon as Halak isn't sick (scratched from the L.A. game as a result, btw), I'm sure he'll be back in there for at least half of St. Louis' games moving forward. I still can't believe I know of someone who took Elliot in a fantasy league.

The team isn't just Toews/Kane/Sharp/Hossa - all of which would be the best forward on the Habs if they play to their abilities - but have good depth, grit, size, skill to complement the talent the Habs don't have.

I guess it's preference. Some hope in making the the complementary players more contender mold and maintain status quo of praying for a homerun through the draft/trade/etc. Others pray for a miracle impact player up front and not bother to improve the other elements since there's no point right now.
Saad can also score and Versteeg seems be playing well now that he's back with them. And even Andrew Shaw is scoring at a .5 PPG pace. And last year's playoff hero Bryan Bickell is still there.

Didn't Elliot take over Halak's spot in the playoffs too?

Halak is often injured, or run down...the guy cannot handle the # 1 duties...

Didn't Halak spend the last two weeks of the regular season sidelined by a groin injury too?

Was never a "Halakian". They wanted to keep Halak and trade Price. I wanted to keep both for at least one more year, and Price for the long term if forced to choose. I've been through this with enough people at this point. Was I one of the people who recognized (or was willing to recognize) at the time that Halak was playing better hockey than Price up to that point though? Sure was.

I know you don't base yourself on one game to make a decision on the Olympics but geez....can you really NOT invite Sharp?

It's not one game though. He's been like this for a while. He does everything from well to excellently. Must have even as the 13th fwd.

I know. But what I mean is that the decision is this upcoming week and Sharp has that kinda of game now and truly, it's not too far fetched to think that he might be in the bubble even with the season he had....
