Berube is very very stupid. I have zero faith in him whatsoever.
He is in a sticky situation with arguably our two most versatile players out... and Vinny not 100%, but I would have gone (If Vinny is capable of taking a faceoff!):

Schenn-Giroux-Voracek
Hartnell-Lecavalier-Simmonds
VandeVelde-Couturier-Downie
Rinaldo-Hall-Rosehill

The 2nd blows on D... but the 3rd is going to be a disaster tonight as I imagine Couts gets the hardest matchups still... but with 2 defensive liabilities on his wings, and I would rather just put the 2nd I proposed out for 75% Ozone starts and that 3rd for 75% Dzone starts.

VDV looked nice enough on the wing in preseason. Or switch Hall and VDV... I know Hall is long removed from his Nashville days... but he was a top 9 winger then who could chip in goals, he aint that guy anymore, but that line would be nasty to play against.

Haha then I support your decision.

Haha, congrats on the Ashes! I know what it feels like to suck for years then win...

Was at two of the tests in the UK (Trent Bridge and Old Trafford) and that was great, so cannot imagine the atmosphere in Aus right now. One of my biggest ambitions in future is to go to Aus for the Ashes one day... though it may have to wait until after going on a Windies tour! (due to cost mainly!)

That's what I always dreamed of doing though back when the Windies were better!

Yeh, England or Aus vs the Windies in the Caribbean in the mid 80's would be the best thing ever.

April 2015 is the plan really! But it is going to be touch and go on cash I imagine.

I like football just not as much as hockey. Playoffs or not I'll be watching the Flyers game. Sure I'll switch at commercials and the intermissions and such but Flyers come first.

I was going to get tickets to see the Flyers in Glendale (first time since 11/12, according to my Coyotes calendar magnet). But the Birds come first tonight.

Here's to both teams winning. I should go buy beer.

Going to sit at home watching a football game of a team from a city (I assume) you used to live in, instead of going to a hockey game and watching / supporting what is now your home team.

I agree. Doan is back also. I will DVR both the Flyers game and the beagles. It would be nice to watch the birds lose on replay Sunday morning. If they win I hit delete.
Thanks MSE.
GO FLYERS!
Oh yeah, GO SAINTS!

PS It looks like Big Red has his team rolling without Charles.
What a game! Andrew Luck is a stud. Some things never change huh Big Red... clock management.

I am a bigger Flyers fan than anything else...

but if I lived in Philly and Philly were playing a (frankly pretty meaningless) regular season game vs anyone... and Manchester City (where I am originally from) were playing a Champions League quarter final I would have to watch the soccer on tv.

Even though I am a bigger Hockey than Soccer fan.

I'm relying on this game to keep me hooked tonight.

I hate the Eagles.

[Panthers fan, NFL wise]

I really like Berube, but playing Rinaldo AND Rosehill is just asinine. VV or McGinn would accomplish so much more.

Displaced Flyers fan has no obligation to support the "home team" pal.

I'm watching this one tonight, more of a Flyers fan than anything else, curious to see how Downie does on Roo's line tonight

If by watch, you mean listen on the radio (I don't own a tv). And yes, I am from south Jersey and have friends at the game and have flown home on red eye flights to take in Eagles games.

And my home hockey team is the Flyers, thanks. I listen to them on the radio too, every chance I get. I was just at the Flyers/Wild game about two weeks ago with my family for my Christmas break.

VandeVelde is playing fourth line. McGinn is in the AHL.
