2nd Line Centers

Look at the league I see only 2 centers we could get without giving up too much...

Pierre Turgeon
Doug Weight

Weight will be better, I think he has anothe ryr at 3.5 mill.

Other than this youth will be traded or Jarkko has to be the man...

I think they're better off waiting till the offseason and trying to fill it via FA

Ya' know what?

I'm so desperate (due the the rejection of Immonen by Renney), that I was wondering how long it would take #11 to get in game shape.

Jozef Stumpel might be another option, especially if Florida starts making players available.

Not crazy about him, but I agree about the avaialbility...ANother guy who might be available and a fit is SMOLINSKI--and I don't tlike him either!

Stumpel is a guy who is a playmaker and a very good passer. I know he doesn't exactly add to the NA style many fans are hoping to see from the Rangers, but, depending upon his contract status, he'd probably cost less than someone like Weight...maybe a straight up swap of Immonen for Stumpel would suffice?

Derek Armstrong might not be a bad option.. I don't think he fits to a tee but as yet another stop gap...

If you can pry Morrison away from Vancouver he would fit nicely with Shanny but I'm not sure it's worth it at this point to pay for him...

I'm not sure a second line center improves things that much. Cullen would still be playing lw on the 2nd line and Prucha would still be on the 4th line.

You can have Mike York for one of Jagr's broken skate laces.

York may be an option if nothing else happens, but you'd have to settle for one of Straka's broken laces. Turgeon and Stumpel are guys I've considered as well.

I wouldn't count on Vancouver trading Morrison.

The Avs might not be a bad trading partner if they turn seller..

Arnason might fit the second line center role in the short term. He is awful on faceoffs but might not be a bad fit with Shanny and Cullen...

The Coyotes aren't really a match for a center but at the right price Owen Nolan might be worth it. You might be able to mask Cullen on a line with Shanny and Nolan..

No way I want Arnason, I wonder why the Sens let him go so quickly. He has been rumored to be a me first attitude. I would take Chris Gratton if we dont give up much. Id want a centre with size that can be somewhat physical.. Id like Handzus as well. Morrison would be good although small, he has alot of skill but would take a bit to give up.

i'd take him, but not as our 2nd line center, i'd take him over Betts, Ward, Hollweg or any other player we have centering our 3rd and 4th lines.

And when he becomes a UFA on July 1, I hope the Rangers do what's necessary to bring him in.

I'm pretty sure you're joking, but I was wondering what a Mess-Shanny due would look like.
