it should be 2-1 right now if Cullen knew where the net was... Instead he likes falling anytime he hits this ice

The radio announcers are raving about the Cullen-Krog-Shanny line

Malik didn't do his job, but Lundqvist has to stop that. Last season he makes that save look easy.

NY has to do better on the pp's, they can't just waste those chances.

Good job coming back.. Impressive first period by NY. If Henke makes the save he usually makes, its 1-0

Rangers played a pretty decent period, with that said...

I know a lot of people whine about Marek Malik, and I agree, hes been bad this year. But that first period might have been the most putrid defense by a player ive witnessed since some of Bozolinsh's performances down the stretch last year. Malik was just AAAWWWFFFUUULLLL in that period.

OK first period, 1-1, was good to see some effort by NY to tie it early. Jed seems to be playing well.

I think the Rangers fans should just boo him whenever he has the puck, maybe it will give sather a hint to this guy aint really that good.

That was a good first period..

If the Rangers play like that for the next 40 minutes they should get two points today..

What a goal by our Captain...For somebody that is accused everyday of not caring he still leads the team on the ice...

Some stats after one...

The Rangers are getting killed on faceoffs...

The Aaron Ward Fedor Tyutin pairing is fast becoming the #1 pair on this team. The played nearly half the period..

Infact even Rachunek and Pock had more ice time than Malik and Rozsvial. Something to watch for the rest of the game...

For all the talk about Pruchas ice time (and it's usually legit) he has played more minutes than Hossa so far...

Hollweg could never score a point again and he would still valuable to this roster.....

See, im not a big booing kinda guy. To me it never HELPS a situation to keep booing a guy, all it does is make him more and more passive, and more apt to make terrible plays. I think its the coaches and GM's responsibility to the fans to bench players like that before they get to the point where they are being booed incessantly anytime they are near the puck.
Also...

Prucha on the 4th line. Can i just say how much I hate seeing that? The kid is totally lost out there.

Anyone watch the Shanny interview? HAHAH

It seemed like he was sending a subtle message that "Renney's a ****ing moron." When he was asked about his scoring and his chances, he commented on not having any line chemistry, how almost every game his line is different. And he really emphasized that.

Because of one nice goal? Especially right after a terrible giveaway in his own zone? Where the **** has this shot been the rest of the year? Or the skating? Right from the drop of the puck Jagr has been skating harder and I knew something was going to come. But that does not excuse him from sleepwalking the rest of the past schedule.

The Rangers are going to need a big time defenseman next year and maybe a guy like Staal will be ready and Rosi and malek are gone....

Yep, i just commented on my blog how the Cullen Krog Shanahan line looked to have no chemistry at all.

Renney is indeed a moron though, I think even the players realize that.

What did Shanahan say though verbatim? i never catch between period interviews.

actually, as a Rozsival hater myself, i have to disagree. Rozsival, by and large, has been a good player on most nights rather than a bad one. He stays.

Inspire a group hug sponsored by Renney. Let's support Marek, ho hum, Malik he cannot go wrong, ho hum, they're on us now, ho hum, but as long as we smile we'll break the funk...

Joe and Sam's praise of Renney's upbeat and positive attitude is sickening. This is a professional hockey team not a friggen day care.
