yeah...aah..he hasn't been sleepwalking its pretty obvious he is playing injured..

Did anyone notice Malik once again do a stupid pinch where he goes all the way into the offensive zone? He did it while Kovalchuck and Hossa were out and it resulted in a 2 on 1, luckily it got broken up quickly while he was slowly trying to get back into the play....how stupid is the guy?

1) DONT Pintch, you have no offensive skill and even if you got the puck you would miss.
2) You are SLOW.
3) Hossa and Kovalchuck are on the ice so because you are SLOW you could never recover if the puck didn't get to you.

Isn't this just common sense?

I doubt Rozsival is gone...he has played fairly well this season..

If the Rangers wanted to they could trade Malik..Just look at how deseperate teams are for defenseman...Malik wouldn't pass through waivers he has trade value...

IMHO Staal should not be counted on for anything next season..Give him a shot no doubt but other that i wouldn't got crazy if he didn't make the team...

big time defenseman aren't coming cheap but this offseason is the the offseason to add one...

Late to the thread, but...

I wanted to say I was thoroughly disgusted about the immoralizing of Jason Krog during the pregame. They speak to him as if he's a 10 year vet who's been playing second line all his career, as opposed to a career fringe NHL player who was recently picked up off waivers. Amazing how much praise Renney would have for this kid, and how he'd say that someone like Immonen can't play the NHL game (to paraphrase).

Is it time to start matching lines? Kovalchuk faced each Ranger line in the first period. If Betts' line isn't going to score much, perhaps Renney should make a conscience effort to get him to face Kovalchuk as much as possible (he does start the game with a 'match-up', but that's about it.

Agreed SoS...

Did I see correctly that Rozsival's +3? I actually think he's played better defensively this season compared to last, and he's had to make up for his partners more often too. I'd like to see him back next seasno (he's signed too, I believe).

Why can Kozlov...

sit there and dilly-dally for so long and so easily in front of the Rangers' net? Or why was Rachunek watching him?

how do you know he's injured? nobody has told us. the only reason you say this is because he is no where near his form of last year. but you know what, there are no excuses. give him some time off at the beginning of the year and maybe he's not useless for quarter-half of the season? but that also raises question of poor management. being so reliant on him, not getting another offensive piece, not surrounding the current forward roster well...

nothing will be turned into a debate, because i understand how sensitive you are. but now understand that disliking European's soft play is not being racist. call me ignorant, but i am not speaking about european's as a people and degrading them. just their kleenex brand of hockey in general.

Yes, let's blame Malik's shortcomings on Renney. Malik is exactly the same player he was in Vancouver and Carolina. And he's exactly the same player that Nucks fan were telling us about when he signed here.

And SoS...

when everything's not going right (like last season), we notice Malik more. Not a fan of that guy one bit, but also not a fan of his free passes.

M. Hossa to the box, NY is asking for trouble. No penalties in the 1st period, 3 already in the second..
