Not too bad considering I believe the first three are the three teams outside looking in who are the best.
Yeah, even aside from Washington big night as far as standings go. Rangers are the team I'm least worried about so I don't care about that and they killed Toronto who is in the race for the last Wildcard spot at this point anyway.

So +2 on Toronto, NJ, Columbus, and Washington. Only game that didn't really go our way was Carolina winning.

Washington has kind of been living on borrowed time this whole season. They have some bad ROW and their leap into 2nd place came around the same time Ovechkin had his ridiculous 50 in 50 pace going which clearly isn't going to happen anymore (last I checked at least).

Just glad they're splashing back down to Earth.

Suter is awesome too.

So happy with this win, I had a good feeling about this comeback for some reason.

2nd in the division after starting the season 1-7? **** yeah I'll take that.

Really good road trip so far, even the COL game wasn't a bad loss, just ran into a hot goalie.

I'm extremely critical of Hartnell but I have no problem saying that he had a solid game today, a nice goal and no huge mistakes.

It's refreshing to hear some honest and blunt answers instead of the cliche ******** they usually spew.

I missed most of this. Win is a win!

In the period or so I did collectively see, Rinaldo actually looked good, yes?

Yeah even the Colorado loss wasn't all that bad. Our offense had to come up with a stinker at some point and Varlamov came up big as well.

I also had a good feeling about a comeback with this one. Phoenix isn't a strong team even with OEL and it's been pretty clear lately what potential our offense has. I've also seen many bigger comebacks then 1-3 with a period and a half to go in my time watching hockey.

What period did you miss?

He had a couple of successive penalties early on but they were just silly ones even though they were technically penalties (by silly I mean the rules themselves were silly a la breaking another players stick being an automatic call). Other then that he didn't fight or do anything I noticed.

So I guess that's good by Rinaldo standards.

Missed all of the first, much of the second and 3rd. I saw his one good pass to Giroux where Smith robbed him. For Rinaldo that pass is a great game.

We can thank Tosehill for his fight to turn the momentum in our favour

I'd be interested in seeing if anyone notes the Rosehill fight. Down 3-1 at the time.

Also, VandeVelde played 2:27 on PKs. Perhaps that will get noticed.

Giroux played a team high 24:21.

but but but Goons have no place in hockey remember ???

i thought that fight was outstanding thou, both from the actual fight standpoint but also it seemed to have turned the game around for the Yotes.

it was basicly all Yotes till then, then after not so much thereafter.

Hartnell is now on a 44 point pace over 82 games.

8 points in his last 8 games...points in 7 of them.

+10 in his last 8 games as well.

Who would have thought that that line would produce so well. Now if G's line can get Raffl back or a producing winger. Not to mention, Couts who was starting to come around, and now has been poor lately.

Couts last 14 games:
4 points, -11, and NO GAMES of being a + player.

Yeah that fight was the turning point IMO. I'm gonna make a gif of Rosehill screaming at the bench "Let's ****ing Go!" after the fight. I'm hard on the guy but he helped tonight.

Glad to see Hartnell continue his upward trend, Simmer continuing producing after a rough start and Schenn continuing to score goals in tough games.

I think it was Don Zimmer who said "If team meetings were so damn important, we'd have 162 of them." They have a place. Same with fights. Even in limited situations. And when a team responds, the purpose has been affirmed and validated.

Couts has looked lazy on more then a few shifts in recent games. I'm hoping when the team gets fully healthy reuniting the Downie-Couts-Read line will help him out a bit.

I was actually just about to ask if anyone else thought Couturier had been really bad lately... didn't know the stats were that bad though. Oh well, just trade him for a 7th round pick and be done with it.
