Zac made a beautiful saucer pass to Giroux early in the 2nd on a 2 on 1 just before Phx's first goal, and played well with Vinny and Couts.

Downie is a beast. He can take so much punishment.

Rosehill is also doing his job, and VanVelde too.

Even Mesz looked good tonight.

The whole team is playing very well right now. I give Berube and Mason the credit. Mason made several huge saves to keep them in it.

4-1 on this road trip is HUGE.

Damn, I wish Coors ans Schenn could play well at the same time. Scheming starts playing well again and Coots starts shutting the bed.

Just caught up on the DVR. I knew the score going in so I kind of fast forwarded the bad and watched the comeback...way more enjoyable mason was great tonight despite being a little shaky rebound wise, he still is able to come up with some huge saves. Roo, voracek, and Schenn were stand outs to me tonight. Mez also again stood out... But as the worst player on the ice. He looks lost out there. Don't know what any of the coaches see in him still.

Fact of the matter is, the Flyers are baking nicely boys. 2nd in the metro division... I know, it's weak, and only good for 7th in the conference overall, and teams aren't far behind. But still. The teams above us (Notably Toronto, Detroit) aren't that far ahead.

That seems to be the trend recently...Flyers going on roadtrips and breaking out. That's been going on for a few years now.

Is there a gas leak in their WFC locker room nobody knows about?

The Flyers did a great job maintaining momentum during the second period despite playing pretty bad.

Beurbe's timeout and Rosehill's fight kept energy in the Flyers and each gained the momentum towards the two second period goals.

I absolutely loved the Rosehill fight. It gave both teams (and me) energy but the Flyers needed the energy more.
Great fight too, was the picture perfect example of the right way to use fighting in the NHL.

It's not like they've been playing poorly at home. They currently have a nine game win streak at the WFC.

Sure, but it always seems to be a road trip that breaks their slumps every year, not a home stand.

Yeah just looking at this and the Flyers have a game in hand on both of them. Leafs are only one point in front and Detroit 2 but with significantly less wins. If the Flyers win that make up game they'd jump to 5th in the conference. Obviously there's virtually not breathing room there but after a 1-7 start that's pretty crazy to think they are a win away from being 5th in the conference.

Note: If the Flyers continue the points per game in the standings since going 1-7 they would finish at 101 points. That probably isn't likely as the team will most assuredly hit a rough patch but it just speaks to how well they've played the past 34 games, 20-10-4 that's pretty damn good.

Big win. Schenn, Simmonds, Voracek plus others are on a roll. Rosie got us the two points. His fight was a key in getting the boys jumping. It is nice to have a heavyweight on the team when needed. 107pts vs 54 pts can anyone tell me what that means? It is just a beautiful day when the Flyers win and the birds lose. By the way. Did someone take Chip Kelly's lunch money? He looked liked he was going to cry. They should try to sign the Cowboy's kicker who is a FA unless the Boys resign him which is a must.

Nice to see another win. Was out with an Eagles fan watching their demise last night; happy to see a comeback victory for the Flyers.

Great road trip.

Important to note that the Flyers have only played 18 of their 42 games at home. 40 games left, 23 at home and only 17 on the road.

Just finished watching the game, and it was a good one indeed. Everyone played well, although Downie doesn't seem to quite fit on that first line. At least not off the bat, but maybe if they had more time to play together they'd make it work.

Hanzal looked huge, I can't believe he's "only" 196 cm.

Great comeback win!

Mason really struggled with rebound control, but our team really stepped up after Berube's timeout.

I think Downie was trying to do too much. Plus he can't really keep up with the skating of G/Voracek. I still think he could be a good complimentary player to G if he just keeps it simple.

its time to move hartnell up to the top line. His "struggles" this year have been over-exaggerated.

why move him? second line finally has some jump and it's not like the first line isn't contributing without him.

No, they aren't over-exaggerated. He was truly terrible on the top line for most of the time.

No, they haven't. At all. In fact, they've been swept under the carpet everywhere but here. Last night was his first legitimately good game in ages and ages.

ehhh not sure about that. he had a good trip all in all. 6 points, a huge goal last night, and he set up schenn's goal in vancouver. he's been a factor for a couple of games now.

but still, it's ridiculous to suggest he wasn't struggling until this point.

Agreed with everything said. This wasn't his first good game, but criticism is well-deserved.
