Not to mention having a surplus of draft picks means you can not only take chances on later picks, but more prospects = higher chance of turning into NHLers.
Carcillo is UFA in July, are we really gonna resign him? Draft pick for half a season of this guy, in a most likely 'lost' season. Yeah, wise management. We all know tough 4th liners are easily the hardest NHL players to draft on your own.
im sure the conditions of the trade are the Rangers make the eastern conference finals, just a guess does anyone know??. so maybe we dont even lose that 7th round pick
I was never a Carcillo fan, but I guess I have to admit that's because he was never on my team. He's a pain in the ass to play against for sure and that's something we don't have. The guy is a Ranger now so I'll give him a chance.
Carcillo is a dirtbag...perfect analogy. Can't hurt because we didn't give up much for him? I think a bag of pucks is worth more than this clown. He was suspended 3 times last season, is a punching bag that scrapes out an occasional win. Not what I call solving our need of toughness issue. Tired of the Avery comparison as well, people were saying the same about Beach. His one assist since his acquisition sure isn't Avery like. I myself would rather give a full pick for a legit tough guy who isn't going to end someone's career with a dirty hit & laughed at by the oppositions tough guys because he is a joke of a fighter.
So he doesn't bathe often? I think your confusing that with another kind of bag, starts with a D and ends with an ouche.
Actually excited about him now, in spite of myself - if any team needs a "character" it's this one, especially for the scrappier games in-division where we just don't show up. Only problem with it is that all of the depth forwards are playing really well at the same time.
