Zherdev
I had posted a thread in the beginning of the season inquiring what the consensus would be on bringing him to the Rangers...
He's struggled this year on Columbus and apparantly is in the Dog House
Not thinking he'd be the fix the team is looking for this year, but an excellent addition to the future.....
thoughts?

sarcasm noted but that's like horses dreaming of monkeys. it makes no sense. Zherdev plays RW. Currently, we have Jagr, Shanahan, Ortmeyer, Hall, Ward, and Orr. Additionally we have a bunch of fans screaming for Callahan. And as with every trade proposal, how does this solve our problems on defense and center?
He'd be an interesting player to get but i'm gonna pass on this one. He'll be much too expensive and solve none of our problems.

I don't think Columbus will trade him. He has played very well at times, he just needs to put it all together. Although he was a healthy scratch recently. Hitch is just sending a message. Guys like Nash and Zherdev will have to sacrifice some personal stats under Hitchcock but they will become better players for it and hopefully the team as well. With Atlanta on their way to the playoffs it seems, Columbus is going to be the only team in the league that hasn't made it yet, right?
