I can't believe how negative these boards are. We were a happier bunch when we were at the bottom of the standings two years ago.

1/2 the team and the coach are in the doghouse with the fans and were 3 points behind the lead in our division and firmly in the playoff picture. What gives?

As for the win. It wasn't a bad game, a little dicey in the 3rd but Price looked great again.

Just put it in the right oven and it comes out as a top chef model cake.

Remove the "que" for a "c" or "ck" and it won't work. "Criss" works. "Calice" too.

My level of caring about the USA team at the Olympics after seeing their roster announcement is at an all time low.

It's clear the Habs need more Alphas like 68.

It was a grinding game tonight. But boring for everyone involved because of the many broken sticks.

Price is an elite goalie now. That is all.
You should know that anything worth anything is worth waiting for. You have to be patient. Let the anticipation build until the moment comes and then lean back and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

People are in too much of a rush these days. You need to let things unfold as they should and you'll be rewarded with your patience as we all are with Price.

Of course we were way happier...we knew back then we were getting either Yakupov or Galchenyuk. This year, it's 1st round exit...nothing to be happy about.

In all honesty, when we were at the bottom, everyone knew we were done that year, so it didn't hurt nearly as much when expectations weren't met because they weren't very high to begin with.

Now, they're recent success and numbers would lead us to believe that they're contending, but that is sadly not the case right now as we still have the same small team as 2 years ago. Also, the hiring of new staff was intended to give a new face to the team, yet they have not done much so far that would indicate the Habs contending.

Basically, it hurts more when you have hope of a win than when you expect them to lose.

right because the promise of a high draft pick is always better than actually winning hockey games.

The oilers forum is that way ------->
