I liked what I saw of him at tv-pucken, He could probably become a strong point scorer in Skellefteå's team next year.

Interesting choice considering what he's gotta compete against. Modo's been good to the young guys lately but gotta feel there could be better spots for him from an opportunity standpoint?

Of course, if the kids used those thoughts the absolute elite for HG would be spread over more than 5-6 teams.. And seemingly that's the way it's shaping up for the '98ers. Some elite guys are even staying in Stockholm area!

Who are some of the surprises here? I think Forsmark and Sethsson makes sense geographically and Nylander with the SSK ties too.

But does anyone know why

Tilander, Skellefteå
Moverare, HV
Andersson, Växjö
Lias Andersson, HV
Treijs, Rögle
Åqvist, Frölunda

And a couple if other guys with top class organisations or at least more logical club choices in their neighborhood picked these guys? Money for some?

Moverare's father works in Jönköping
Treijs want's to play more offensively, which fits more in Rögle than Linköping

From what I've heard, his parents were unhappy that LHC didn't consider him a regular J18 player this year and that's why he moved.

He doesn't seem to get much ice time with Rögle J18 either.

Forsmark should be playing with Frölunda J18 soon. Scored 7 points in his first game with the J16 team.

No, pretty unfortunate situation really. But I really hope he makes it, he's been a personal favourite for me since late 2011.

Outstanding passer and smarts. And extremely small. Judging by his TV-pucken play. But I saw some Adam Almqvist in him.

Luleå is the next team to present their team for next season.

Leon Lundberg seems really intressting, most points in u16 east this season.

Can someone explain to me what the different kinds of methods to appeal players are, and what the different clubs are known for that would appeal players to go there?

For instance we've got Skellefteå with them letting a lot of youngsters play, Frölunda as well and they've got their Campus facilities, nice famous club etc.

Those are well-known, but I was wondering what's been making a few good Stockholn kids choose Timrå or Leksand or Växjö, not "leftovers" but guys that supposedly should have bigger teams to choose from? Same goes for some guys Mora, Örebro, Rögle, Luleå have attractes over the years. I would've assumed HV, Frölunda, Modo, Färjestad would be the most attractive with Skellefteå of late.

Is it money? Facilities? Do they care about the school stuff? Or just sloppy scouting making the big dragons miss?

Didn't want to start another thread since it's so tied to what's going on here.

The only club i know for sure that offers money (beyond free apartment and foodmoney) to youngsters is MODO. But it´s a very interesting question, and my guess is that more clubs do like MODO nowadays. Money to 16 year-olds is a very sensitive question in Sweden and i think many clubs don´t want that kind of things to go public. "Schoolstuff" I think is not a big reason when they pick a club to join. It is great schools all over sweden.

Many clubs offers money nowadays. I know for sure that for example Skellefteå payed Lukas Wallmark in his junior days.

Hmm.. did they pay Wallmark to choose theirs hockeygymnasium? I know he wrote seniorteam-contract his second or third year i Skellefteås juniorteam. (But only played 2 games with the seniors) Then of course you get paid.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure they payed him to choose SAIK. That's what i've heard anyways.. Looks like Växjö is opening the wallet now too.

Players in Skellefteå don't receive salary until they've signed a "utvecklingskontrakt". Luleå does the same.

I just got corrected from a guy working within the Lakers. Apparently they don't give a dime for the players.. That's pretty impressive when you look at the players they've "signed".
