The Flyers were horrible in the beginning of the season but have really turned it around, and the Isles are playing better lately too.

Meanwhile, the Rangers have been hovering around .500 since the beginning of November and they have not significantly improved offensively or defensively. Sather is beyond stupid if he decides to "go for it" this year.

I was seriously tempted to bet my life savings on the NJD/PHI game being a 3-pointer tonight. So ****ing predictable.

Nucks blow a 4-2 lead with just over a minute left, and lost in the shootout, interesting to read on the Nucks board they are struggling to hold leads, that was a Torts staple, get the lead by the 3rd, win the game.

Torts still has his dry sense of humor.
Quote:
Tortorella tried to shake things up by benching a couple of his veterans Tuesday night. Tortorella scratched wingers David Booth and Dale Weise, replacing them with American League call-ups Darren Archibald and Benn Ferriero.

Booth would not comment following the morning game-day skate about being scratched.

If I say something Ill just get into trouble, he said.

In a pre-game radio interview, Tortorella said, David Booth, I cant find him.

It's popular to hate him, but Crosby's fun to watch out there..

What's he up to this far? 24 goals and 41 assists?

Wish we had someone like that...

I have tried not to read anything because I hadn't seen them yet....but these 24/7 are absolutely horrible. I've seen the first 3 episodes thus far.

A combination of the whole thing going stale and both teams being sooooo boring. I can only watch the players walking on to the plane in slow motion with alternative rock playing in the background so many times. Very little off-ice stuff, and the drama in the games consists of arguments over a water bottle (what a joke that was). Honestly the best part was Matt Martin giving Drew Miller ****. Watching miserable Todd Bertuzzi drink corona's and Dion Phaneuf be staler than an old cracker is not enjoyable. Thank god for Mike Babcock.

Wayyy to much focus on guys like Joffrey Lupul, who is a boss and a great hockey player but is boring as hell.

Being a Rangers fan obviously made the last go around a lot more exciting, but there is no doubt that group was a solid 10x more interesting than these 2 boring teams. What can you expect when Phil Kessel and Pavel Datsyuk are the 2 stars though.

Seems every time I see a Flyers game they are playing well. Maybe it's Giroux getting his game back.

LOL, that Devils Urbom thing reminds me of when Jason Krog was a Ranger for two weeks, then the Thrashers claimed him right back.

Some interesting callups over the last few days though; Lindholm for Carolina, Carter Ashton for the Leafs, and the return of Filip Forsberg for the Preds.

Penner is one of those guys who just plays better in the playoffs. Actually that's the only time he consistently shows up. Maybe it's playing the same team four to seven times and getting familiar with the opponents' skating, positioning, and D pairs, or maybe it's the extra intensity. Who knows.

Much like Brassard was last year or Poulliot can be, he's one of those guys who could single handedly get hot and win a playoff round all by himself.

NJ sends Larsson down to the AHL after, according to some of their posters, having sat for nearly 2 months..I thought he was supposed to be the second coming?

Hm, didn't get that impression the way people were talking about him on the NJ boards, saying he should have been sent down much earlier so he could get bigger minutes. Either way, the fact that "Larsson bust" is one of the top google auto-complete suggestions warms the cockles.
