-Nice of the real Jake Paterson to finally show up this season. He was awesome. If he can keep that up, I have my reservations about that, then we are in business.

-That was the tighest I've seen the D play all year. That's not to say that there wasn't the occasional lapse. And London missed some golden opptunities, but overall solid play by us.

-2 absolutely beautiful indivual efforts for the goals by Sadowy and Locke. Just amazing.

Side note: That's the first and last time I ever bid on a jersey. But totally worth it.

That set you back quite a bit but least its Locke's jersey. I thought it might have been Lodge or Ringuette's jersey.

One guy I think that isn't getting any attention is De Sousa.

Now I'm not saying he should be a pick in the first few rounds but should have been listed. He's a good skater and for all the concerns about play in his own end he is quietly +21 during his time in Saginaw, which is the highest on the team. He does have some issues with his decision making sometimes, but I like his offensive upside. Someone should take a chance on him in the 6th or 7th round.

Lots of things happen in the next few months leading up to the draft.

A lot negative comments made when DeSousa and Cairns were traded for both have been good additions.

Coaches like who they like. Players move on and either take advantage of the new situation or fall off the map. DeSousa is finally getting icetime and doing well. Cairns was doing well in Belleville and is continuing to do well in Saginaw.

Does that mean we should expect these boys to go backwards?

I think Prophet's ranking is too high given the way he has played this year?

DeSousa was playing a different game in Belleville, yes he wasnt getting the ice time but he wasn't doing what the coaches were asking of him. That trade works out for both.
Cairns had off-ice issues, we all know george does not put up with that stuff. The straw that broke the camels back was the school day game in Ottawa. He has an opportunity to play next year as a OA and the bulls re-coup the picks.

Do you really think George ever gave DD a real chance? He never got more than a few shifts a game, never past the half point in the 2nd period. Crammer and Heffernan got no icetime either. Only Petti played as a rookie last year and we can all see how that went.

It's not the players that go backwards its the coaching that goes backwards. I can name a handful of players that did well and then all of a sudden their opportunities are taken away for someone who the organization is doing a favor for or owes a favor to. If you think that someone is not lining their pockets in theses deals then your kidding yourself. Its called free enterprise at the expense of young players that enter the league at 16.
