I don't think he's a UFA. $3.2 million next year? Any idea what his contract is like?

That sounds right to me, but I'm not sure.

edit:
1 more season-2007-08-$2,989,300 cap number as per the Rangers board.

Does the 'one' mean the decision or the player. As in, This Kasparitis is a no brainer, or "This deal is a no brainer"

Next time I'll use "move".

The disease is not the answer - rarely is. At that wage I would rather sign Cory Cross as a UFA for pure comedic value and post game banter.

At that rate, and given his play, there shouldn't be any reason for a team to pick him up even on re-entry waivers.

I say pick 'em up, right after we get Dave Brown inked to a contract.

Sorry, wrong century...

The Oilers won't take him, but someone will on re-entry. He's only minus 1 this year in 20+ games.

Wouldn't a team like the Caps like him to join their Russian mob? His salary next season is 2.3M, which means any team taking him on re-entry would only have to pay him 1.25M...not terrible.

With our injuries, I'd take him.

This was from the Howson thread:

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=5008

"On a side note, there is absolutely no interest in Darius Kasparaitis. They're looking for a puck-moving defenseman...he's not it. And his salary is ridiculous."
